joystick conversion

any help here is greatly appreciated. I have a b7100 w/FEL and it has the two handle hyd controls. I would like to convert it to a joystick. I found something on ebay. can anyone tell me if I can do this (conversion) and will this item on ebay work?

It probably would, but without specs on it I'd be concerned about it's flow rate capacity.

Can you find any info on it ?

Does one of the circuits have 'float' ?

Do yourself a favor, get a NEW one with a warranty from a reputable place like the Surplus Center.

Have you thought of making the bracket to modify the valve you have now? The valves can usually be setup both ways. I would think with a little work you could modify cheaper than buying another valve, of course this depends on the tools you have to work with.

One of the guys on here made his own joystick setup. Here are some pictures.

Some manufactures make joystick kits for their valves. This one is for Prince valve. What brand valve do you have now? If you study these kits and look at the diagram in the above post, you just might be able to fabricate a kit for your valve.

Heres a joystick I made.

Made it all except for the adjustable length ball/socket rods.

Used nylon bushes in the universal and its still as tight and reliable as when I made it 4 - 5 years ago.
