2009 Kubota B2320---Wheelhorse lawn mower--- Case 480D Backhoe
I bought a Kubota B2320 with FEL about a year ago. It has no more warranty and has 95 hours. Both front tires will leak down to about 1/2 inflation in about four days. Always has and selling dealer (used) stated Kubota would not do anything about it--different tire warranty. They are Carlisle brand:(
I inflated the tires to the correct pressure and applied water and dish washing liquid to the outside surface. Extremly Small Air bubbles, too numerous to count, coming from all surface of all sidewalls!
The sidewalls are so thin, I would be afraid to go up the road on this machine:(
Just about the quality of bicycle tires:mad::mad:
The purpose of this "rant post" is to find out if all brands of tractors--of this size--have these inferior tires and I would like a recomendation of a brand of tire to replace these practically new tires:confused:

Have tubes put in, i had the same issue with a cub cadet that sat and the tires dry rot,,,,tubes are like $10 each, and $10 to install, cheaper than new tires

I wish that I could be of more assistance, but my 2011- L4400 came with Firestone Ag tires. No problems as of yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good Luck.

search for the thread where Chilly807 got Carlisle to make good on a set on his L3400 that had developed bubbles in the sidewall. seems he just needed to talk to the right guy.

here I did it for you,. read this thread and see if it helps your situation. it is really more Carlisle's problem than Kubota's

Well I believe you in spades...

I have a B2920 with Carlisle brand turf tires and the left front is always leaking down. I also belong to the forum rv.net and I can tell you there that Carlisle tires have the reputation as being the worst tires that you can have on a RV, and there are many threads there that back it up.

When I lived at my other home, I had about 4 1/2 acres to mow. I bought a new Kubota ZD221 and I had the exact same problem that I am having with this B2320:mad:
YES--Carlisle tires also:(
So I bought two Kubota quality tractors with inferior tires:mad::mad:
I have owned other brands in the past--do they use Carlisle tires and have the same problem:confused:

In some of the turf applications it is hard to find anything but Carlisle tires.

Both my fronts would leak down on the BX23...

I split a can of slime and end of problem till I got a bubble in one.

Ended up buying from whole goods two new BX24 tires mounted on rims... and slimed them too.

Make sure you call the tire company and give them a piece of your mind and tell them what the forms have to say.

Also call kubota for selling high end tractor and use tires.

The reason these companies are doing this is they think they can get away with it. Kubota has a great reputation you would think they would want to keep it but they are taking short cuts.

Welcome to my world. Carlisle OE tires don't work for me either.
I have owned a number of tractors and when I make the deal to buy I also work in a trade-up where they buy my tires and put on new upgraded Firestones. A couple years ago I bought a Deere 790 with 95 hours and Carlisle tires that looked "crumbly" like a frozen chocolate bar. They had chunks of rubber missing.
This amazes me about Kubota and maybe Deere that they would go through all that work to build a quality tractor over decades of reputation and then put a crap tire on it. Kubota used to use Bridgestone, which is now also Firestone I think.
Maybe this is changing because I recently bought a Toyota Tundra with a tow package that had top of the line Michelins on it. I nearly fell over.

I also bought a B2320 with FEL about a year and a half ago, but it came with the Titan ag tires. They've been great.

I am sorry to hear of your difficulty. The Titans do make a mess of turf grass but this place came pretty messed up to begin with, so that's a work in progress. I have a lawn tractor for turf but greatly prefer the Kubota and Titans in the field.

i had a leaking front right. called the dealer and was surprised at how cheap a spare wheel and tire is... bout 65 dollars for a bx25. always good to have a spare anyway and they fixed the leaker.

I had the same problem with a set of Carlisle tubeless golf cart tires. I put some Slime in them and that resolved the issue.

We put tubes in the front of the L3400. Problem Solved.

As most of you know---the problem with tubes in tires is that a puncture creates the problem of breaking down the tire and replacing the tube. I have had no luck with a tire patch on today's rubber. I have tried many brands of hot and cold patches and cleaned (scuffed) the rubber before applacation. They always came loose or leaked.
It is strange that I have so many punctures, even with my automobile tires. Wife came home the other day and stated there was a "clicking noise" coming from the right front. After a close inspection of a low tire, I found the noise. A 3/8" LAG BOLT, 2" long was imbedded. Head was worn off:mad::mad: I had to replace the $110 tire:mad:
Just a shame that a new tubeless tire would have to have a tube:mad:
I just purchased a gallon of Slime to install in all my lawn equipment.

For those on here that say it,s not Kubotas problem, I beg to differ. It is Kubotas problem because they choose the tire supplier for their tractor. Surely you don,t think a buyer should have to deal with Every supplier that supplies parts for a tractor. Your dealer should provide the fix for free, and charge back to Kubota for the time and material, and fight like H@ll on your behalf to make it right. Trying to cheap out on parts is not the answer to making tractor prices competitive. It,s a shame they put junk tires on such a nice tractor.

There is a bright side to all these tire problems---I will remember the next time I purchase and negotiate non-Carlisle tires, or simply skip machines that have them. If Carlisle were to replace my tires--would they be any better:confused:No excuse for bicycle tires on a Lawn Tractor:(
I just wish I had known this before paying a premium price for this Kubota:mad:
