so far i love the thing only thing that is annoying i got a 6ft brush hog type mower that i keep shearing the bolt on the drive line going though heavy brush. was hoping to be able to cut a little heavier stuff.

Since the torque curves on my 2 Cummins licensed Bransons peak at 1600, running at 1800, unless low speed is required for a reason is the right choice for a minimum speed. Being above the peak means that when you load the tractor the torque increases as the rpms attempt to fall, balancing out the effect the load has on the engine.

If you do any work below the peak, when you load the engine both torque and rpm fall off and if you over do it it will crater and shut down......to be avoided at all costs to prevent potential major damage to (babbit coated) connecting rod and possibly main bearing inserts.

PTO rpm, slow ground speed, only cut half width, Grade 2 bolt, locking nut and leave it loose where it can rattle.
