I like .325 full chisel, is that picture suppose to show a difference in LPX and LGX, both look same to me.........

Both full chisel, LPX has the extra bumper and shorter raker. New LGX no bumper but longer raker. Just look closer.

Heres a real world review on a Stihl clone, a Holzfforma G660, seems like a good buy but I'm still leery....

Dont buy off ebay IMO. I ordered mine straight from FT. But I also work on saws. So I wasnt scared.

I have friends that are dealers of them here in US so you can buy from a dealer that will back the saws for you. Plus a real dealer for them will go through and check the saws over before you get them.

Me trying to find the differnce between chains without a clue was like me trying to find the arrow in FEDX, so whats the bumper for why not just the raker?

What is FT, need another clue... I'm not buying any more big saws, my Jonsered 2171 should last another 10 years.

 FarmerTec I never heard of that site before, funny how other parts of country can come up with different web sites, I'll save that just incase my 2171 goes down for the count.

Is 25' bulk chain worth it if only using two chains/year, right now I coming into my busy cutting season but>>@$40.00 of S&H I dont think it is for me, maybe I better stay with single loops see where that goes......

But if it was worth it how many 18" bars will a 25' of bulk saw chain do.... Since both my 550xp and Echo 501p take 74 drive links, what they should say is how many drive links on a 25' saw chain, or is that anther un-answerable question like why am I here, who am I, is the world round.............

Been wanting a joncutter G3800 38cc trimsaw since I seen one. It is a clone of the zenoah made redmax 3800 I owned years back.

Bolt on cylinders like a pro saw. Not a clamshell design.

The air filter top looks like Echo, gas caps look like old husky stile and with both caps side by side that looks like I never seen before, unusual. I waiting for the next generation of electric start chainsaws, Mcculloch really dropped the ball on that,,,,,

Looks like the LPX is a low-kickback chain.

The LGX is not.

That extra "bumper" is not a depth gauge, its what makes it a low kickback.

The depth gauge is on the SAME link as the cutter tooth.

The low kick-back "bumper" if you look at the two rivets it attaches too, is forward. As the chain goes around the nose of the bar....it pitches up and makes the cutter unable to bite.

You cannot plunge cut very well with the LPX....but it results in less kickback
