New sign from member of my site I bought. Plus a 50 to give to dad for Christmas that trooney gave me PHO to give to dad.
Dad been having troubles getting the 3300 pulled over as he is getting older. Almost 80.
Gave him easy start 180 for trim saw. Hoping not to have to go to easy start 45cc or a decomp saw. Time will tell.

another running and ready for a collector. As soon as $$$ arrives.

Thinking first one I seen in BB with 3 shoe, front exit muffler and 137 carb. All the best options IMHO.

Look at pics posted yesterday. Was missing a part in intake boot and a gasket on the wrong side of carb. Past owner did it. ;)

Plus missing 3 other small parts I had on hand too. coarse av bolt and 2 rubber cover bumpers. Plus put new echo oem impulse and fuel lines and the correct poulan fuel filter being someone had put a small stihl weed eater filter in it .:laughing:

Just needs a carb kit now after testing it today IMO. Stiff diaphragm is a tell tell in the cut.

Post here again.

Looking at hose Poulans on your workbench they look to be well made. Reputation of Poulan is sure different. I have never owned one so I don’t know one way or the other.

I own one. I leave it laying behind behind the wood pile in hopes a criminal steals it and doesn’t feel the need to steal my gas cans or equipment batteries.

Note that that is not just any old Poulan: 60cc, magnesium case, aluminum handle, vibration absorbing springs.

I get DOA Poulans free all the time, and save the parts until I can get working saws. Yeah Poulans are cheap, but you can
get good service out of them if you take care of them.

Just like any brand. You got to know which ones to buy and which ones to stay away from. They dont make the poulans I like anymore. Prob been 15-17 years since they made a good ones.

The 60cc poulans I like over the husky 262. Unless it is the early 1990 262 with KS and bigger 87 carb. But I still like the feel and handling of the 60cc poulans better.

The 60cc poulan cuts with and built real close to the stihl 036 360. Almost identical working on them.

When it is -7F and the shop area just wont warm up enough to help make the rubber parts pliable to work with. Next step is......

Boiling water?

LOL no going inside and working on table. Have a area in the mudroom too.

After everything has had time to warm up and become pliable again.

and another 60cc shows up. One of the nicest over the years. Low low time on it IMO.

...and it even has an adjustable chain oiler. And metal chain-catcher. Nice.

Any idea as to DOM? I am guessing mid-to-late 90s. Maybe there are date stamps inside?

I have never seen a Tim Allen special first-hand. I suspect it is the same as the Poulan 3750 Timbermaster.
