Short bar would make my back hurt, 18" fits me pretty good, my longest is 36"

Those were 42" and 72". He also has 44" 60" and many shorter.

I just go up to a 32" anymore myself. Sold the 36" I had for different mounts. One I sold.

Do they still make Poulan chainsaws?

I just found a video of this guy who bought a PolanPro on black Friday in 2018 paid $99 dollars for it, it did not have the nice carrying case that mine came with but mine cost $149 today there $169, he just opened up the card board box it came in, never checked the tightness of the chain, mixed the gas put it in filled the bar oil, took about 10 pulls to get going no warming up and started cutting looked like it was working.

I read a bunch of reviews on it that were sold at Home Depot, a few good ones and many bad ones, so it's a crap shoot today buying a PolanPro, guy who paid $99 i think got a good deal and hopeful it still is working.

I am glad i passed on another PolanPro and now have my STHIL 211 and 261.

My firewood saws are Echo 501p and Husqvarna 550xp, both are a year and half old. The 550xp is my second one and a much better starting saw then the 2013 550xp which gave up the ghost two years ago.

My son is also a Stihl fan, he has a 5 year old MS441 and a two year old MS261, I have to admit Stihl makes good saws especially saw chains. Their saw chains seam to stay sharper longer then the Oregon chains I buy. I'd try Stihl chain but on their 325 pitch chains they .063 gauge while mind are .050 and .058.....

When my old PolanPro went south i was almost finished with my bush removal project, i got talked into the STHIL 211 and it's a really good working saw it finished the project.

But i just kept thinking about the STHIL 261 you know how it is so i went down picked it up off shelf, salesman walked up said can i help you, i just handed the saw to him said i will take it.

Started it up runs great first time out with helping the man removing an old tree next door, his small 16" STHIL was not getting far, i just did not understand that the trees wood was hard as stone, i got is cut off stump but when bucking i noticed the chain was toast.

Now i have a new STHIL chain on it but now nothing to cut. My dealer has two 1/2 million dollar chainsaw chain sharping systems, charges $8 dollars a chain takes about a minuet to do sharping.

So i have a new chain on 261 and also another new STHIL chain along with the old resharpened chain, but nothing to cut.

I also ordered the Oregon chain sharping system with 3 round files a guide and the flat file, along with the bar holder so if i have to i will do my own sharping or give it a try.

Not sure if i will ever need the 211 again i really like using the 261, but won't sell the 211 i like it also.

My son had to go to two different Stihl chainsaw dealers this past weekend to get a 325 pitch chain, the first place which is also a big JD tractor place was sold out, the other place was a small Stihl saw shop and he had just two so my son bought both, might be a 325 Stihl saw chain shortage going on......

I stopped in the Producers Co-Op the other day and they had just one Moore Maker knife left so I bought it. If they would have had multiples I would have felt like tI could get one there anytime and would have passed.

Half million for a sharpener? This I got to see and know which one?

Shop north of me has 5 of these now. I found the 3rd one for him. They are no where near half a million.

Last good poulans ended in 2007. Mag cases.

The one in pic was made in husky plant till 2000 I think in 4 cc sizes up to 83cc. Partner design though. As elux back in the day was buying up everyone for their technology. Just like they still do today but husky split off onto their own now = bought zenoah for strato tech.

Some of the good ones I had over last few years. All were 83cc - 85cc but the one yellow one was 71cc

1973 the name was changed to Zenoah. In US was sold under name Redmax back in the day. About RedMax(R)

2007 Acquisitions of strong brands The acquisition of Gardena in 2007 made the Husqvarna Group the European leader in consumer watering products. Acquiring Zenoah brought a strong brand and geographical expansion in Japan.

Redmax today is just red husky made jonsered and some zenoah

Wow Husqvarna is a old company and I thought Red Max was a new company, so is the name Jonsered still being used or made or are they all now rebranded Red max?
