Thank you. I have a feeling its going to end up being a wall hanger for me. More nostalgia because it was the first saw I learned on.
This one I am going to try and get running right. It was my other grandfathers. it will fire and run but won't stay running unless you're on the throttle. Carb work I am sure. Going to do some YouTube time and maybe teach myself along the way.

Prob just a carb rebuild time with kit. Once cleaned carb 30 mins to install. Go with oem stihl line if want it back right. Aftermarket will not run right in bends.

I started using echo oem line myself so I dont have to order stihl oem lines when needed for guys. If they ok it going that way.

Then check impulse and plug while in there.

Take peek at piston etc too just in case.

They take to a simple muffler mod big time. 18-23% gains and carb retune that are stuffed up bad.

Well glad I went the way I went on having my tree guy do the stump with the 80K grinder he had with 67HP. VERMEER SC70TX

One I could have rented would have cost me more for the day. 40hp big as they have of the 3 offered.

Me and the wife did the clean up and fill to save $$$.

Good enough for who it’s for.
😋

Wait till rains and settles to add good dirt and compost.

Looks like a nice stand of hay in the background.

I have mixed feelings about stump grinding. Too many stump grinders around here solve the stump problem, but leave significant work for the customer.
It certainly does make the visible part of the stump go away, but it’s difficult to grow lawns there with the grindings soaking up moisture and displacing the topsoil. I have been suggesting customers look into complete stump removals.
Now that I have the excavator, it’s a breeze and another source of income, but its much more expensive.

@Hay Dude winter wheat

Being farm land not really worried about it. Just wanted it out of way. ;)

I usually just rot and burn or pull them up myself. But this maple that wasnt happening.
Done a big monster willow and 11 small ones that way and couple apple and plum trees too. Over the years.

Guess you didnt notice we hauled the top layer grinding chips away.

We had him go double normal depth and only that was used with not much chips compared to first layers. Mostly dirt and some chips.

I have followed behind stump grinders leaving customers with soil/chips mix that never seems to successfully grow grass until the chips decay. That can take years.
