Poulan 2822 hedge trimmer.

Something different on bench this morning.

I can relate. I was bored the other day and pulled down a Stihl HS45 that I had picked up from my dads place 15 years ago or so. He told me it wasn't running and he didn't need it. I had never looked at it until this past week as I was in "resurection" mode on some old stuff laying around. Runs like a top after a bit of futzing with it. I've got nothing I need it for, never had a need for one... My daughter and her husband have some bushes along their driveway getting a bit overgrown. I think I'll gift it to them. Of course that will mean I'll be working on it over and over again... Hmmm. Maybe I'll sell it.

What's the verdict on using thin flexible fuel line for an impulse hose? I was having some intermittent running/starting issues with my recently acquired 041AV and based on the overall condition of the saw decided to spring for some tune-up parts including new fuel lines, impulse hose, air filter, and plug.

I found someone had been in there previously which was no surprise on a 40+ year old saw. They used some very thin flexible Oregon fuel line for the impulse hose. For some reason I was under the impression thin flexible hoses were not a great solution for impulse hoses. This one was torn at the end regardless and got replaced.

The saw is running great again but it's steady raining outside so tree work is on hold, for now. I'll see how the saw does with bucking up these main stems in the next day or two.

I wouldnt use that kind even though it works.

But it will give up the ghost and might cost you the ope.

Get some oem black 3x6 or 3x5 echo line. Stihl even sells theirs but like 3 times the price.

Looks like I am picking up a boatload of bigger poulans to get in the hands of collectors.

Poulan 8500 slightly scored piston but runs.
Poulan 4400 runs and used cutting
Poulan 4400 ? told runs
Poulan 5200 ? told runs
Poulan 5200 ? painted orange silver with full wrap. Said it had locked up while running.

Couple already pending. 8500 and one of the 4400.

Just giving a heads up if looking for something in these.

No pricing to list till I have in my hands. But is way cheaper then prices I know they go for.
