They have been in business for a while it seems...for lack of better words, im very disappointed with the whole situation and now I have to pay thousands more for a new tier 4 tractor and mine only had 50 hours on it..and corporate doesnt seem to care too much either..I.was expecting more from john deere

You seem like a very upstanding person who, it seems to me anyway, is getting poor service from your dealer. I think this dealer issue needs to go up the flagpole with JD. Is there a way you can stop the deal on the new tractor?

Yes I never signed anything yet, and im really 2nd guessing wanting to get this 4066. I winder what my next step should be then?

If it were me, I would tell them that you can't have "3 bad batteries" and that the they need to figure out why the batteries are being drained. There is some sort of ground or bad component using current when the tractor is shut down. In regards to the backhoe, they should test the maximum pressure the FEL relief system is allowed to create, and if over the rated pressure, they should adjust the relief. If the relief is set as it should be, they should warranty the cylinders from failing.

You took the tractor in before any warranty could be expired, so the problem is theirs in my opinion. If they did not resolve the issue before the warranty "expires" (if it did"), that is not your issue. They need to fix the problem.

Buy a Massey 1758 instead ! Lol, I'm mostly kidding, but .... I sure do like mine.

Are you buying an open station rig? If so, and its for backhoe use, consider buying a beefier TLB, like a Kubota L45 or M59, or JD 110TLB. The price probably won't be that much different from what you're already looking at, and you'll get much better capabilities.

But, do you still have the 4520? That looks to be a good tractor... Maybe find a better dealer, like Tom suggested... And keep that.

Thanks for the input...yeah on one hand I feel like bad stuff will keep happening to this tractor..on the other , I dont want to spend a ton.more money and dont want a tier 4..I asked if they could just swap.out a new 4520 and they said there are only 3 new ones left in the country.

Then do as Myself and several friends have done after the poor service from both the dealership and JD corporate on my friends last New JD, We switched flags and they lost sales to Kioti, Kubota and LS actually the poor treatment of our friend was the loss of 7 tractor sales in all to the listed brands.

I wish I could but the loss would be huge on my tractor..the only good thing they are doing for me is giving me what I paid for the tractor..but not that great of a deal on the new one

Dealers can be idiots if the person you're interfacing with isn't doing his or her job.

Case in point: just today my F150 needs a master cylinder as one of the primary cups is leaking internally and under a hard pedal (think holding the brake on a hill), the brake pedal sinks to the floor. I didn't think to "demo" the problem when I dropped my truck off for warranty work as a sinking brake pedal seems a self-obvious problem to me when it is followed with a written explanation. Imagine my surprise that the dealer didn't change out the master cylinder because they could not duplicate the problem.

With the service writer in the cab with me, the brake pedal went to the floor. I'm good, right? No, no I'm not. The service writer guy then tried the brakes and said he couldn't duplicate the problem, and besides, the guy says, if the master cylinder was failing the brake light would come on. Huh? I'm a mechanic and so I offered to explain how a master cylinder works and how it can fail like this and not set off the brake light, and beside who cares, what did he think was wrong if the pedal goes to the floor?

He said the pedal goes didn't go to the floor.

Then ensued a 15 minute argument that I lost because the guy walked off thinking I'm dumber than a box of hammers.

Eventually I got people who matter to say, WTF, the master cylinder is bad, but by that time the writer had left for the day.

My point: sometimes the stupid piles up on one person and wrecks what should be a no-brainer issue to fix even at good dealers.
