Just bought a F3060!

The problem with the engines in the mowers, unlike the ones in my big tractors is, they don't have internal balancer shafts, consequently they tend to have harmonic vibration and that is a weld killer. I kicked up the base idle on mine to where it runs very smooth. I fractured the muffler mount itself and had to reweld it.

The adjustment screw for the base idle is the vertical one below the throttle cam. The horizontal adjustment screw parallel to the throttle linkage sets the maximum RPM at full throttle. It usually has a small lead disc with safety wire on it.

Thanks for that tip. I will make adjustments before I mow again.

I am needing some help finding a replacement spline shaft for my f3060. The universal joint has fractured and i need to replace the shaft. picture showing the failed join and the triangular plate bolted to the motor below. I am wondering if they still make this shaft with the bolt on plate? or are they different because I cant find anything looking like this on line. It is the shaft connecting the motor and the HST

Try your Kubota dealer. The drive shaft is common to all F series mowers.
