Looks like you are stuck in thinking that companies don't sell out on quality for profits.

No, but I am a realist, looks like you are stuck on paying little money for some thing and expecting high quality?

Reality is that other companies can make a similar product with similar quality for less $$$.

$3000 for a Polaris, Honda or Yamaha sticker is absurd.

One of the companies that make one on these UTVs makes engines/sub assemblies for Yamaha. So I guess Yamaha is using China made products too.

If Polaris, Honda, Yamaha are so great then why do they only offer a 6 month warranty on their machines???

Anyway...I don't need your opinion anyway. I go by facts...

Just an update. 1 year warranty is up. The only issue so far was the loose relay. No problems since. I've only got just over a hundred miles on it though. The last time I changed the oil(about 2 months ago), it was somewhat overfull. Apparently not uncommon on efi engines that run rich until warmed up, my wife uses the clone in the yard/garden and will literally drive 15 - 20 yards and shut off to load weeds.brush etc( not complaining mind you).Anyhow, i've been making a point to get it warmed up good and the oil level is stable. I'll post any problems.

So you put 100 miles on it in one yr? I used to put that on my rhino in one weekend of riding. glad you like it though. Hope it is still running for ya when it has around 5,000 hours on it like my rhino did when I got rid of it.

If you read his post and not take it out of context. He said his wife uses it in the yard moving 15 - 20 yds at a time. Of course he is not going to put lots of miles on it using it that way.

They put that warranty on it because people buy side by sides to abuse...my Kubota RTV 500 only came with a 12 month warranty and everyone compares their build quality to a tank. That said I've had it for 2 yrs and no major problems yet.

A lot of what you're paying for is a decent dealer network, buy a cheap clone and when the shop that was selling them 2 yrs ago goes out of business where are you going to get parts? Even something relatively minor like an axle may be quite a chore to order. There is a powersports shop up here that sells the off brand units, he switches brands every few years because of problems....the real savings aren't that great...a few thousand dollars isn't much when you consider how long most people will have their unit.

I didn't take it out of context. He said there is 100 miles on it so far. Does it really matter how the miles got on it? 100 miles is 100 miles.... geesh...

However, I dont see how only 100 miles is any kind of barometer on how well the machine is built. ( and no, he didn't see it was either)

I would like to hear another update when this thing is actually ran for say 4,000 miles in real world rides, not putting around the yard...

Sorry, It wasn't directed at you. It was for someone else that was mocking the guy because he had 100 miles in a year. He clearly didn't read the statement that it is a new unit and had few miles on it because his wife drives 15-20 yds at a time.

What facts? Your made up facts?

Now here are the real facts...

Yamaha does NOT supply parts to any other UTV company. Period.

The Rhino is assembled in the USA using only US based suppliers. The engine/transmission comes from the main Yamaha plant in Hamamatsu, Japan.
It is not only built here, but designed here as well.

My Rhino has over 4000 trouble free miles. Not babied either with plenty of dune riding. some dunes hundreds of feet tall.
