Just an update. 1 year warranty is up. The only issue so far was the loose relay. No problems since. I've only got just over a hundred miles on it though. The last time I changed the oil(about 2 months ago), it was somewhat overfull. Apparently not uncommon on efi engines that run rich until warmed up, my wife uses the clone in the yard/garden and will literally drive 15 - 20 yards and shut off to load weeds.brush etc( not complaining mind you).Anyhow, i've been making a point to get it warmed up good and the oil level is stable. I'll post any problems.

What brand did you buy? I am looking at ODES for an acreage transport.

Massimo(Hisun). Check at rhinoclones.com. There are some folks over there with odes.

I checked out the Massimo website, they are not shy with their pricing.

How much did you get yours for below MSRP?

I paid just under 7000 for my 2011 700 efi. I checked the massimo website this am,all I saw was the 400 utv. No matter,it's just a Hisun utv, rebadged under several different "brands". The product is made fine(imo). The cost is less. The problem is parts and warranty. I've seen several dealers open and close in the year since I bought mine. There are 2 dealers within 100 miles that have been around several years though. For my purposes, it was worth the price difference.

Does a parts dealer have to be local with last weeks invention of the internet?

I have a 1978 Suzuki dirt bike and it has lead no easy life. I think the only repairs to it were a snapped clutch cable, worn tires, dead battery and a set of fork seals.

I can't possibly see that a UTV that stays on fairly level/packed ground around the acreage could possibly wear parts out to the point of needing a huge parts supply.

All these name brand companies are driven by corporate greed anyways and warranty issues will still be that...issues. They all farm out parts manufacturing to China and other suppliers.

Why pay the name premium?

Everyone makes crappy stuff now-a-days in my eyes...so why pay gobs and gobs extra $$$ for a name.

It is called getting what you pay for in life.

Yup...and a lot of my so called high quality stuff these days is junk. So why pay top $$$ for junk. If I'm getting junk anyway I might as well pay junk prices for it.

I bought an RV trailer...Made in the good ol' USA and you'd swear that Hellen Keller made it. Obvoiusly they didn't know what a level was or what a measuring tape was or what quality paint, fitment and finishings were. Also, the brand new USA made hot water tank had the porcelain coating flaking off after the first time using it.

Gone are the days of well built, design tested products. Now it is get it out to market faster than ABC company. There is no such thing as good stuff anymore and corporate greed has taken over.
