oh i thought it was easy, its a side arm flail mower for the three point hitch so you can mow ditches and pond shore lines without getting your tractor to close to the water edge. ill post a picture of it on the tractor later on.

THAT would be a nice time saver in consideration of what I was doing this past weekend, clearing alders, willows, dead trees, etc. Would it chew up small willows, say, 1 inch in size? I'm sure it's more economical than the one in this picture...

I'm GREEEN with envy!!!

I'd love to have that for my road, ditch, forest access road, brush.... Alas a chainsaw and my new BX42 chipper will have to suffice. Unless I am "Struck" with "LUCK" and someone donates one to the "Cause"...;)

Cheers and have FUN!

Awesome! Is there such a thing as "yellow" with envy? :) Also been keeping an eye out for one of those - what is the recommended HP and tractor weight for that model?

I just now got the thing off the pallet and it was quit a hard job, It was dark when i finished but i did mow a little bit the control sticks will take some getting used to . this machine is quit heavy but as far as i can tell my tractor doesnt seem to need any added wheel weights, I streached the arm out as far as it would go and it made the tractor lean but i couldnt get the tire off the ground either. anyway next time i will post some pictures in the daylight of some moweing when moweing get started here.

I running at the bare mininum HP at 40hp, this mower is recomended for 40hp and higher. I think my tractor weighs around 4000bls empty,
The color of this mower is just right for a CubCadet.

I paid 4900.00 for this mower its used had about 6 hours on it. Its hard to find the small 3point hitch side arm mowers in the south but up north were they grow Cramberrrys you can find them used. they mow the sides of the ponds there. If you want to get your feeling hurt just call the dealer and as how much a new side arm mower cost, i did and they want 14,000.00 for this
mower so i jumped on this used one fast.

That has got to be one of the coolest attachments I've seen.
I don't know what I'd do with it, but I could manufacture a reason for having it. I'd just have to live on/in it when the wife found out.

Im not just buying stuff for fun this stuff is too expensive, I accually work all summer long making a living with this tractor stuff, but i also enjoy it almost like its a hobby, my property is so small that i could mow it with a 21inch push mower in about 20 minuts but i get to mow other peoples large places and this will be the first time i can accually mow the sides of their ponds and levies.
