-24F this morning at 7A.M. The good news is that the temps are warming up, slowly.

Got home from plowing yesterday at about 1:00PM. Was about 28F and no wind and sun shining. Actually felt comfortable climbing out of the truck with just a tee shirt on. Took a shower, went to bed and woke up this morning and back to 1 degree outside. Yep, that feels cold again.

Slept in 'til 8:00 and it was already up to -18F here. Asked a youngster yesterday aft (Sun the 22nd) how school is going. "Slow. We only went two days last week, four days the week before, and tomorrow (today) has been cancelled already, ... but Saturday's 4-H meeting was fun."

My kind of girl, she. 'Tough' runs in her family. (horse breeders) 40-some Morgans well cared for despite the weather. :thumbsup:

Funny they cancel school on account of it being cold.

I bet most of the kids spend more time outside when than cancel, than if they just went to school. Opposite of what they are trying to achieve.

Looks like freezing temps in Texas today. Might even get a dusting of snow. Temps are in the 30's, schools are closing and people are staying home.

-35° when I woke up this morning. Septic tanks are starting to freeze for some.

11 am, 32 degrees and the ice storm has shut East Texas down. Might be up to an inch of snow/sleet/ice on the ground. Schools are closed, cops are blocking roads with hills on them because of the ice and people not being able to stop at the bottom of the hill, cars are in the ditches all over the place and waiting on tow trucks to get out. We can handle extreme heat, severe thunderstorms with massive downpours, but just the hint of white stuff on the ground and everything comes to a stop here. Karen and I are not even leaving the house today!!!!
