Just got a quote from Barlow, I'm not seeing that "Special" price others say they have gotten. The quote was literally withing a dollar of my local dealer on the BX25D-1. So doesn't make much sense to use them.

One of my biggest issues right now with the GC1720, can't seem to find add-ons for it. Skid plate, grapples for the front end are the two main items. Other than that, I'm still looking closely at them, they seem to be a bit stronger than BX and the red will match my truck....haha

So long as it has SSQA on the loader, any grapple will work (assuming you have a third function kit).

There are many threads in just the last 12 months in the Massey buying or owning forums that provide information and addresses and commentary on add-ons for the Massey GC products. They are provided by a number of us . . Not just one or two . . . And on many threads.

In addition that provider offers 4 kinds of grapples, 3 buckets, 2 or 3 forks and a thumb plus a ripper.

Well well, I guess the true colors have come out here.

So sorry for not reading HOURS of information online, with hundreds if not thousands of post.

Let's see, I have 7, 24" trees laying in my front yard. Chickens, dogs and two kids to take care of not to mention the countless "Honey Do-List" to do.

My apologies for not taking every waking moment of my time to search in the hidden vaults for post about the GC1720.

Gently stated.....I have done a few searches on here and looked up lots of google searches and youtube videos on these tractors. Please show me a video of this tractor and an IN-DEPTH review of them?! Point is, there is not a lot of information about them WITHOUT, sitting for hours looking through hundreds of post. Of which are long winded and go off topic regularly, seems to be a trend in forums.

But hey, thank you for your TIME and patients with a new (Future) tractor owner that has many, many more responsibilities than nothing but reading forums and countless useless post about **** that doesn't apply to what I am looking for.

Unless my reading skills have faltered, the sight says DL100, which is not the DL95. Last post on TBN that I seen talking about this, stated "They are working on making these available for the newer DL95".

Am I missing something? Website not updated if they do offer DL95 attachments or should I just assume it will be available?

Everything attachment.com doesn't have information, (that I could find, might of missed it, sure you will point that out if I did) about fitment. Not to mention, many of their items are 400-800lbs, what good would that do on a FEL that can only lift 900+/-?

You're going to run into the same issues with ANY machine in this category, whether Massey, 'Bota, Deere, etc... They all have limited FEL lift ratings, and a grapple will weigh the same to all of them.

If running a grapple is high on your priority list, you may want to consider jumping up to the next size (or more) so you can make the most of it, and not just relegate an expensive grapple to picking up twigs and packaging bubbles.

I would agree about increasing size but them again I can't imagine doing much with a scut loader...

However, I see ads for lots of lightweight pin-on grapples/attachments for 'bota SCUTS. Don't know if they are worth anything. But when orange sell several thousand scuts for every one that red sells, there are bound to be more options arround for orange.

As much as I want to upgrade, my wallet will not allow me. The BH is a must, I have to much dirt to move and stumps to dig out. While it will be slower than a larger BH, it will still work and give me something to do.

Orange is looking better, while specs are bit lower than GC, the available Land Pride Grapple that only weights 156lbs is a major plus to me.

I have loads of brush that needs to be moved and taken to burn pit, with just a bucket or a thumb on BH will take forever. But I'm retired, so maybe it would be good, give me something to do....

Difference between $19,500-20,000 and $27,000. Can't go that high, I would love too, but am limited on where I am.

Is my price off for the B26? EDIT:::: Just looked at B26, WOW, $36,500! No way I'm in the price range. Poor broke disable Veteran income, not going to happen. I would have to save for 4 years to get that. Dealership has a used on for $29,700, I asked if he would come down to $23,000 out the door and he won't....:thumbdown:

I need to get stuff done now, can't wait another year to save the extra $7000 it would cost to get into the B26. I do plan to pay off the first tractor and trade-up once I can save a bit more, which makes it so I can still make progress now and move forward in a 12-18 month time frame.

I did notice that about the Massey. Like I said, I really like the Massey!

Honestly, I'm thinking out loud and making conversation with you nice folks on here. I like hearing others input. I have read lots of post and have seen, so far, Orange, Green, Red and Maroon tractors. Operated Orange, Green and Red tractors. All seem so close to each other and have "about" the same specs. But the Massey was the fastest with the BH and FEL movements. Seat was more comfortable than the rest. I liked the two pedals and that the 3PT was attached all the time. Easy drop and hook for my scraper blade.

Orange had a better dealership and seems to have more easily accessible parts and attachments.

Right now, unless Orange gets the "Out the Door" price down some more, I will be a proud owner of a Red machine.

I see any of them being a huge advantage, all has just different areas of interest. Warranties are the same with 2 years bumper to bumper and 5 year power train.

I've attached one of several threads regarding the Mytractortools.com quick attach for the DL95 loader. This link is actually the first one where I had a Tach-n-go on my gc1715.

In addition . . . places like Mytractortools.com specialize in scut implements . . that is what they focus the business on and design and build in WI. Totally U.S built. I understand that several special skill businesses each do various parts of the manufacturing including laser cutting, another does the skilled welding, etc.. At Mytractortools.com . . their items are designed and built lighter in weight and stronger in design to compensate because for scut limits and advantages for working payloads . . . which means greater usable uses for a Massey gc1700 series or kubota bx or yanmar sc2400 or kioti scut.

The quick attach and forks I bought are each fully sandblasted. Then they are primed and powder coated. Very durable finish.

While TSO is a very sharp an aware user . . he is incorrect that weight of implements are always considerable. True it is a trend with many foreign built attachment products . . precisely why seeking out scut based vendors is a benefit. In numerous threads I've written about 4 different grapples that I went to see at mytractortools.com in central WI. In those threads I often mentioned my desire for 1 of the 4 grapples they offer . . the mini grapple especially . . because it is a couple pounds over 75 pounds in weight and I saw it used to pick up big items like big rocks or log pieces. The reason for different choices they offer is different sizes for different purposes.

The Landpride is a nice grapple too . . and one I fancied until I went to Mytractortools.com to see their choices. I never looked back.

The forks i bought are heavy duty but weigh only about 110 pounds.

As to website . . Yep . . It needs some updating and also it would benefit from a little cleaner look to organize all the new products announced over the last 12 months. When i was there in mid summer 2015 . . . New grapple designs and bucket products had just been added. And the gc1700 dl 95 loader quick attach . . Came out in October 2015.

Their website gives a phone number and email address. Call Jery and you'll be talking to the designer . . and he really does return calls.


Also shown is my GC1715 seat suspension (2 coil springs - standard) and an additional double spring suspension (1 inside the other).




Lastly, Everything Attachments has a support person who posts/responds often on TBN. Call E. A. and they can tell you exactly which products they have that could work on your GC1720 consideration. Probably pin on options..

And there are a bunch more vendors of products to work on the GC1700s . . . "seek and you shall find".
