Well, no joy from Mahindra. After playing phone tag for a couple of days, I was told since it was a Bush Hog loader and that the hydraulics were only warrantied for a year anyway that they couldn't help me. I can't believe they expect such an integral part of a tractor to only last a year (I sincerely believe warranties are tied to the projected life of a component /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif). Anyway, for the money involved I really can't afford NOT to fix it, and I can't afford to get rid of it after the repairs. Guess I'll just bite the bullet.
Anyway, just thought I would update y'all.

Was hoping they would do better. I can see the 1-yr limited warranty, but they could have left it at that. Saying it had anything to do with the Bush Hog loader is a straight-out cop-out, IMO. Like a Mahindra loader would have been easier on the pump?

Thanks for the update.

It is impossible to get any manufacturer to honor a warranty that has been expired for two-years.

Very true !!
Put a chip in your new truck, foul things up & see how the dealer treats you then !

2 years over the warranty is a long time.

I would just fix it & keep going.
Maybe a mahindra dealer near you would sell you the parts at cost? It doesnt hurt to ask.
good luck on your tractor.

That was pretty much my attitude on the warranty thing. The worst they could say was no. Got to looking at total cost of ownership and I am still nearly 6k ahead of what a green tractor would have cost at the time. The only thing I am out is time. Bad time of year for this to happen, ya know? My time is pretty much at a premium right now so I just told the dealership to fix it and call when it was ready to pickup. I probably could have gotten the labor a little cheaper elsewhere but with it being hay season here now I figured I would have higher priority with the place I bought it from.
