I just finished building a small backhoe from cadplans and wanted to show finished product. Only took 5 months to complete. By the way, it works great!!!!!!!!

arkydog,

Looks real Good!

How do you pivot it to dump the dirt to the side?

Congratulations on a job well done!

If ya don't mind me askin, how much did it cost to build ?(material and parts wise)? Looks like it'd be a fun rig to operate.

Got every option available. The price was $2600, includes delivery of materials. And approx. $400 for misc.

Congratulation on a nice job.
I built a 710 model Cad Plans backhoe about 4 years ago and it feels good to build from scratch and have a working end product .
The 710 can be run as a self powered unit using the gas motor or separated behind the seat and used as a 3 point backhoe.

That's a right nice looking backhoe. How large of a bucket did you make?

WOW, It is beautiful, nice work! I built a 907 loader a few years ago, enjoyed the build and now I have a VERY useful tool. I am contemplateing the backhoe as well.

A few questions if you don't mind:

Is it a Cadplans model 608? If so, do you know what the GPM hydraulic flow rate is on your tractor? And is the speed of the backhoe reasonable?

Thanks You in advance, and again NICE WORK!

Matt

I built 2 buckets, one 6" and one 15". The one in the picture is the 6"' one. The tractor is a kubota b6200 and the hydrolic rate of flow is 4 gal per minute. The speed is just right and once I got the joystick positioned right, the swing isn't jerky as it was when first used. I got the power beyond valve so that I can use both the loader and the backhoe but not at the same time without having to valve either one of them. The backhoe is also the cadplans model 608 and the tech support was the best!!!

Thanks
