Armstrong County Man Found Underneath Lawn Mower

An Armstrong County (PA) man died after becoming pinned under his lawn mower.
According to police, Eric Birch, 77, of Kittanning was cutting his grass Monday when the accident happened. Birch’s wife found his body underneath the lawn mower Monday night after be didn't come inside for dinner.
Investigators said Birch raised the mower off the ground using a jack and crawled underneath to try to remove a wire that had gotten stuck in the blades.
Police said the jack slipped and Birch was crushed under the mower.
