Just got my new B2910!!!

Hi All,

I just took delivery of my new B2910 today. What a machine!!! I'm still waiting for the subframe for the Woods backhoe, but the dealer delivered it with the LA402 loader to allow me to get used to the tractor until the subframe arrives. I figured I can put some real "easy hours" on the engine during this time. (Without any ballast on the back, I'm not going to do any real loader work...as you have all said...Safety First!!!)

I only got about 0.3 hours on it today, but I hope to get some more time on it this weekend, weather permitting.

I want to thank each and every one of you who helped me through the whole selection process. Right up until the time the truck pulled up to the house, I had second thoughts about the purchase. Now that it's sitting in my garage, I know I made the right choice.

Hi Gordon,

Yeah... I was afraid it might not fit in the garage or be able to turn it around without trespassing on the neighbor's yards. I'm happy to say that I can maneuver it easily on my 2/3 acre AND it fits in the garage. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Seriously though, with a purchase as large as this, many of us tend to "beat ourselves up" over statistics, dollars, specifications, etc., etc.. I look back now and can just relax and enjoy my new tractor. (Well, I guess the full enjoyment will be when it's completely paid off, but I know I'll have a lot of fun before then too!)

There's one more thing maybe you haven't discovered yet. You may find yourself more likely to notice property for sale signs and adds in the newspaper for raw land. Sometimes just making a passable road and cleaning up a place can make it a whole lot more sellable (and valuable). (Not to mention a great PLAY AREA for awhile)

Seriously, though, that is a great idea and something that I didn't think about. Maybe after I get a bit more comfortable with it and get most of my own projects done around here, I just might look into that. Of course, then I'll have to get a trailer, and a truck,....but heck, I got the wife to go along with the tractor, a trailer and truck should be no problem. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Nice feeling isn't it. I know ...I just got my 2710 a week ago. Please as a new tractor owner, sit down with the manuals and read, read, read. Remember always SAFETY FIRST.

How did you know my wife was due within the next week and a half or so? Oh....,you mean my new Kubota baby! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Funny thing, after they delivered my Kubota, I walked into the house and told my wife: "O.K., I've got my baby, now you can have yours!!!". Funny, women don't seem to have the same sense of humor when they're pregnant.

I agree...safety first!!! I've read just about all the posts on this board at least once (including the archives!!!), the tractor manuals daily, plus I've picked up a couple of books that have been helpful.
