I did talk to Messick's and it was the other way around. The sale price of the machine was higher than Barlows by $2000 and the trade in of mine was just a little lower. Shipping was allot higher. He was charging $800 where Barlow's rolled it into the price. In Messick's defense, he did tell me delivering to the west of PA would be more since they do not deliver allot of units in that area.

I purchased my L4740 and ZD326 from Messick's, Barlows couldn't come close to Messick's deliver price. Both pieces of equipment were delivered over 200 miles and not one problem. I purchase all my filters and parts from Messick's Parts department, excellent service,quick shipping.

I've been ordering my maintenance items from Messicks... it convenient since I have no Kubota Dealer in my county or neighboring counties.

I talked to another dealer on pricing and they cannot even come close to Barlows. We are talking about a $4000 difference on the L4060TLB HST. This dealer did give me a competitive price though compared to other dealers I talked to. The sales person did ask if they were including the BH frame rail and a few other things. I'm sure Barlows would have included all of that. I wanted Steve to email me a line by line, but he is not real computer savvy of what he was saying. Could I be missing something here?

That 4k is a big difference! How much you think they even profit form a sale???

That's what I mean. Could he have missed something maybe? He isn't telling me what he is giving me on trade, he just gives me the final number, which I am fine with that, but so far everyone is giving me $18,500 to $19,500 on my trade. Maybe he is giving me $23,500.

I just don't want to order this and then he forget something like the BH Frame and mounting kit and the price goes up.

When you called in here, did they price you an L3940? we have a tier 3 left still and it already has backhoe subframes on it.

I talked to Steve from Barlows briefly yesterday morning and he was to call back to go over the quote and I'm still waiting for the call back. He is so laid back, it worries me. He had the best price by a long shot from any other dealer I worked with. I just hope once I order the tractor, it only takes 2 weeks to get to me like he mentioned.
