Yep I had projects piling up on me.

Most are too small to rent equipment around here by the time you get it delivered you nearly $1,000. Last time the wife and I dug a water line by hand. Itwasn't long not worth renting equipment but it almost killed us in the heat. That day I said never again.

I needed something on site that I can get in start up work it for an hour or all day and not be ties to rental companies availability.

It was fought pulling the trigger on this but I see all these projects getting knocked down with will free up "head space" in by brain thinking of these unfinished projects.

With any luck I'll use it till I'm done and take a small hit when I sell it which will end up cheaper that all the rental use.

Any of you use window tint on these to cut the heat

I suspect that you will find it very difficult to part with once you are "done"

Great sized machine!!!

I don't know about window tint. Might not be so good working at dusk or night. Maybe the top half of the windows? Because of rotation you'd have to tint all four sides to get any benefit.

Cat_Driver: I also am SO jealous. Excellent size and choice.

My New Holland dealer dropped off a brand new Takeuchi mini for my daughter when she was 11-12 to learn on. Definitely one of the nicest machines I have ever operated. If I needed to buy a NEW machine in that weight class (or maybe any weight class) Takeuchi would definitely be at the top of my list.

Once again congrats! Looking forward to action pics!

I'm jealous too! Mine is an open station machine. I would like to have the cab and A/C, but couldn't justify the extra $$$.

You're going to enjoy that Mini-X. I've had mine almost a year, now. Great machine. Super fast and powerful for its size. I also opted to buy a rental machine from the dealer. They gave me a 1 year warranty, and it just came in very handy. The ECM (computer) went out last month, and it was changed under warranty. The mechanics said that mine was only one of two Takeuchi machines they have sold that had that problem. (large dealer with multiple locations) Seems like I'm "special." Anyway, it's all fixed, and the warranty covered it.

Congrats on getting a nice machine.

I've found those little pull down suction cup shades help some. They tend to fall off a lot but sticking them back up when you get in isn't a big deal and they usually stay on the glass for a while if ya spit on the cups. I'm assuming you have a functional AC unit in there. If not you will suffocate.

Smear a thin layer of clear silicone on the suction cups and clean the window with rubbing alcohol before installing them and they will stay up for much longer.

Just curious Cat Driver if you've found any projects for the 260 and your impressions so far? Hope all is well, B

I have a date farm with date trees and an old greenhouse. So far I tore down the greenhouse by lifting the telephone poles out of the ground then snapping the poles like toothpicks to fit them in my dump trailer.

I dug up some old irrigation line. Put in some new irrigation pipes,

I "trimmed" about 600 feet of oleander bush that was over 20' tall by grabbing them with the thumb and breaking them off at about 4'.

Took out a brick wall in an old loading dock, then filled in the loading dock. Working on taking out a couple of acres of mesquite trees so far it's snapping trees like they were twigs. Pulling out roots that are 8' long in the ground like a large carrot.

This is probably some of the best money I ever spent on equipment.
