Just joined the grey market Yanmar club

Well I just joined the club. I drove 6 hours one way yesterday to pick up a 2210DB. Been wanting one for a while and the right deal finally came up. Here痴 a pic of it on the trailer on the way home.

How did that gate not have the **** bent out of it when you drove up it? Doesn't look substantial enough not too!

Heck yeah ! Looks very nice and clean and R-1s on the rear. IF the right deal comes along around here, it's most likely to be sold on the way to pick it up(buy). Don't mind me asking, how much does something like that run up in Pa. ?

I'm wondering if that thing is one of the original Frederick's sold ones? Maybe it needed oait or someone along the way just painted it? Someone has clearly replaced the tires. That is an original seat though. Just thought, no ROPS . Did they ever sell without ROPS...maybe real early on? So right now we can for sure say someone has repainted it and replaced the rear tires.

Not my trailer borrowed it from a buddy. But believe it or not the ramp is rated for 1800 pounds so I figured enough for a 2200 pound tractor that is only half on the ramp at a time. Didn’t bend at all.

Well it is in good shape and has not had a hard life. The private seller owned it for 18 years and he didn’t know where the guy he bought it from got it. I had to drive over 400 miles to Indiana to buy it so it was all done over the phone basically. The seller was very up front in that he believed it had a cracked head or needed a head gasket due to exhaust blowing into coolant. It had done that about 2 years ago and he had someone put a new gasket on it and it solved the problem until recently when it started doing it again. So I think the unknown scared off many potential buyers. When I got there and looked it over and ran it I could see that it was also blowing exhaust all along the left side of the head at the gasket. I asked him if he had retorqued the head after he ran it in and he said no. So I took a chance and bought it assuming it was just a gasket. When I got it home I pulled the valve cover and all six head nuts were way loose. I torqued them all and put the valve cover on and started it. Problem solved! I got lucky! I gave $2,600 for the tractor. Hope I did ok ��

Welcome to TBN, and I you stole that for $2,600!!! I would have drove 8 hours one way for it....lol I only say that because I drove 7 hours one way to get mine and I would do it again.
