You might be interested to look into Hoye tractors spacers. They have them custom designed and machined. They will add 8"s to the stance of the tractors. Which will do way more than filled ng the tires ever will. A few members here have them . JTullis is one, I don't remember the others. I am going to order a set myself soon.

I did purchase the wheel spacers from Hoye for my 2210d, and it made a huge difference in stability. If you are mowing over any uneven terrain they are well worth it. I now have turf tires on mine, but have put on my R1s here and there depending on what I am doing. I will post a few pics of the spacers on the tractor.

As for filling your tires, I know a lot of guys that use anything from windshield washer fluid to antifreeze. They might be able to tell you how much weight it adds. I have RimGuard in my R1s and my Turfs, that added 182 pounds per R1 tire and made a big difference for me when I am tilling and using my rear blade. I like RimGuard because it adds the most weight per volume, non-toxic and biodegradable.

you can compare the pictures of before and after wheel spacers, they add 4 inches per side. If you don't want to spend the money on them you can always flip your rears to give you a little more width.

Do wheel spacers have any affect on loading or unloading as in ramp spacing.

My ramps move so it wouldn't be a problem. And I think they are still around what a normal CUT would be wheel base wise if yours does not have moveable ramps.

Here in SC I bet the people that know what Rim Gaurd is are few and far between. There only small corners of this state that are really into farming and nothing on the scale of the Midwest.

I really like the look of those spacers. I bet those go a long way to improve stability with the extra 8 inches of width they provide. I think I will go that route through Hoye and also order up a ROPS as an added safety in case I would ever flip it. Looks to be a very well made little tractor that will enable me to get into spots that I can't with my bigger tractor. I have everything now to do a complete fluid and filter change this weekend as well as flush the cooling system. Spring finally decided to show up here, so I need to have it ready now to do some playing....I mean work:dance1:

They are a good little tractor. I have hesitated in the spacers for the reason you state. It's compact width allows you to access areas easier than a larger tractor. The spacers now make the tractor wider increasing the area needed for clearance. But if that 8"s does not make a difference they won't matter. To me, the added benefit of being wider will probably outweigh any benefit that I am probably just making up in my head that I need the current narrower width for.

Similar here, I couldn't find anyone selling beet juice ballast in any brand. A couple of places said they had heard of it but didn't know a source. And the Central Valley grows a lot of sugar beets!

Thanks Clemsonfor, I didn't think about other states not having access to Rimguard. California is right, it is beet juice. I attached the fill chart for Rimguard so you can use that for reference.

This could affect the way you load and unload the tractor. I have 2 different trailers, one has a sold ramp that flips up and the other has 2 separate ramps (car trailer) and that one makes it difficult to load, you have to be exact on how you space them apart because only half or less of the front tires are on the ramps as you go up or down them. I would try to 2 more ramps if I would continue to use that trailer or find one that has a sold ramp. The only reason I use the car trailer is when I am transporting my tiller for a job and when I have my R1s on at the same time, which isn't very often.
