Keep in mind your memories, that is what keeps most of us going. I lost my younger brother and father- in -law within 6 months of each other in 2003. Like most, not a day goes by I don't think about them. My father in law was more of a father to me than my dad. For the short time I knew him, I felt blessed. The human mind is amazing, you will see as time goes on, you don't forget, but time will make it bearable. Sometimes you will have days that will be very tough, just remember what your father would want.
I am sure he would want you to be strong and to take his place, and wisdom, to build on for your kids, wife and mother. This is one of the hardest things you will have to endure through life. Your father sounds like he did his job,, and very well. You had what some of us cannot or will not experience, a true father.
My deepest condolences.
Craig
