Ok, I've been on the fence about buying a bush hog(brand, size, etc). Today I went to look at a used BH6 bush hog and happened across the Squealer 84T. It was exactly what I was looking for, albeit a little more $$ than I had planned on spending. It is a well built piece of equipment

Your tractor should turn that thing with no problem whatsoever. Congrats on the buy. I'll bet it will work out great for you.

Any pics?

So far have cut about 2 acres with it and so far so good. The grass in the background is not what I cut with this Bush Hog. It cuts clean but not that clean!

You have good taste. I always wanted one of them. That offset cutting width would be handy for keeping the tractor further from what needs cutting or cutting under an overhang.

Did you try dropping the rear of the deck by a couple of inches? As long as it's a half inch or so higher than the front, it would cut flatter. Your PTO ujoints should last longer too.

Enjoy it!

The offset is real handy for cutting along a fence or tree line. Behind my tractor it hangs over about 15".

I have not tried to lower the rear any more than is in the picture. I cut about 9 acres over the weekend that was around 5' high sweet gum and briars (and thick) with little problem. Hadn't thought about the stress on the PTO at that angle, although in the picture shown the 3PTH is all the way down. When I'm cutting the angle isn't nearly as steep as it looks. No doubt I will experiment with different angles in the coming weeks.
