Your not the only one to try pushing dirt into a mud hole and get stuck doing so.
I posted this pictre awhile ago, but thought you might enjoy it.
I had filled in a hole quite awhile ago, but it was still holding water. I figured to smooth it out and pack it down some with my dozer. I knew not to drive right over the hole, but tried getting as close as I could.
It was getting dark out and I couldn't see very well, but was almost done and wanted to finish it off.
The mistakes keep adding up until it happened.
The tracks broke through to mush and when I put it in reverse, I buried it. Once the tracks start spinning, that's it. Your in TROUBLE!!!
It weights 40,000 pounds.
I didn't sleep to well that night thinking of ways to get it out and what it would cost to bring somebody out here with a machine big enough to pull me out.
That morning I started digging with my backhoe, and by late afternoon I had removed so much dirt that it was down hill all around me to get out. The belly pans were still sitting on mud though, and I couldn't move.
I had to hand shovel a tunnel underneath to remove the suction caused by the mud.
Once that was done, I was able to drive it out.
THAT WAS A VERY LONG DAY!!!!!!!!!!
