CODE54 - Any chance you could post some pictures on your winch? Did you do an aftermarket fuse box?

Ask and you shall receive.....

I shot a couple of quick ones this evening for you. I am running a Superwinch Terra series 4500lb on the Kawasaki factory mount. When I bought my machine no one had a mount out at the time so I just got the over priced factory one but it works. I went with 4500lbs due to the weight of the mule and figured if I load I could be close to 3000lbs so with a snatch block I was still ok.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time and exactly what I needed. Am looking at Viper winches right now.

Oh - forgot....
Yes I do have a separate fuse panel. Mounted it up under the hood on top of the glove box. A little hard to get to but out of the way and dry. Right now I have a TON of extra wire sort of wrapped in loops taped down in there so it is not pretty but functional. I wanted to have a bunch of spare wire in case I need to move it to put in a heater or something.
I currently have a 6" light bar, 2 front mounted D2 LED lights, a horn, a backup camera and monitor, and a set of LED backup lights wired to the panel. The winch is run from the battery to a a separate circuit breaker, then to the solenoid then to the winch with a lighted cab switch and a outside plug for the corded remote.
Hope that helps explain it a bit better.

Vipers are a nice winch and more people that have had issues say the company really stands behind them. (They all have issues from time to time) Matt at lightitupoffroad sells them and always gave me a VERY fair deal if you are checking on them.

I did reach out to Matt but my usage and budget really warranted a lower cost solution. Went with a HF Badlands winch that should be here next week. KFI mount.

Good, glad you found something that works for you. I looked at them before and for the price they seem pretty darn nice.
KFI also seems like a great mount for the price. When I got our Mule nothing else was out so I had to suck it up and pay the Kawasaki price, but have bought other mounts from KFI and have been pleased with them. Sort of hoping someone comes out with a rear winch mount one of these days.

Just came across this thread and I am looking for some input. I just got a price on a 2015 mule pro fxt eps for $13300. What do you think of this price? I was looking at a Honda pioneer 700-4 but it seems like a modified golf cart. My wife pointed out the mule at the dealer and it is built like a tank. Smooth and powerful. Any regrets out there on the purchase of your Mule?

The price out here in the midwest is not budging much from the msrp, so I'd say that is a good price. I really don't have any regrets. As you pointed out that are built well and very smooth. I like the room it has and have been having fun adding things to it.

I was dead set on buying a Ranger Crew and after I was finally able to take the blinders off :) I realized the mule was a better fit for my family. My father got a new 900 XP and while it is fast, it is loud and just makes me happier about my decision. I like the longer warranty as well. One plus for Polaris and other models is there is a lot more accessories and information on them, but I think that is changing.

Well I did it . Purchased a Mule pro fxt eps for even a better price. $12900 out the door.
