Here is the 186 as i bought it, although i plan to restore it to new condition.
Will post pictures when i'm done..

Hello Deanbro

I am interested in purchasing a Yanmar KE160 tractor. I am having great difficulty in finding a dealer in the South West of England. I have contacted the Yanmar global site and they tell me the U.K. distributer is Lely U.k. I have tried to contact them but they do not respond. Even their web site contains no mention of Yanmar products. I would like to know who was your dealer and how has the tractor been?

In England we pay a lot more for tractors than you do in the US, i guess that is all to do with volume sold.
I believe the US compact tractor market overall is probably over 200,000 units sold per annum, whereas our market in total is probably several thousand units which must have an effect on the price we pay.
This tractor would retail at £6450.00 which would equate to about $11500 , having said that i did a search on google and i did find a US dealer with a couple of new tractors for sale at about $8000 i think.
By comparison a typical new 30hp Deere/Kubota Hydro would cost in the region of $24-25,000 here.

Yanmar have been having a good time with this tractor in there home market and are having a push around europe, but it aint happening as they anticipated due to the fact that the Yanmar brand name dissapeared as a result of the deere tie up in the mid eighties, plus there are more players in the marketplace than in the old days.

Perhaps thats why they havent come back to the US ?
I'm sure it would sell if it did.
