Inspector, you figured it out (when put on ebay I expected it). I am my fathers son. I live in San Diego & am a micro chip engineer for a local company. I get tractors from my father and sell them on Ebay.

Explaining this to you is a courtesy that I did not feel obligated to explain to some guy(Yanmar4life) who was calling me names from behind his computer screen. Oh well, he is a little sharper than his writings appear he just kept saying I was someone I am not and I still say he is a mis-guided individual who never had his facts straight. Now the record is straight.

Oh well, I am sure that this will excite some people who have nothing better to do than sit on a tractor chat room and worry about who is selling what.

By the way, I sold the ke3d to a very happy man who got a one year warranty but probably won't need it.

It has been weeks since I posted anything but this was sent to me by way of email. I am sure this will stir the pot for a day or two so have at it.

You know, Yanmar4life came very close in a couple of posts to figuring out the "trick" to that you revealed in this post, and although I remained quite, I too thought that something was fishy, what with identical pictures and such. I am just curious what the motivation for not coming clean in the early stages was - I suppose it would be fun to stir up several folks all the while. It reminds me a bit of the folks that sell Yanmars and say "They're the same as a John Deere" or sell Chinese tractors and say "They're made in Asia-Just like a Yanmar". There is usually a shred of truth in these statements that save them from being outright lies (except maybe the JD-Yanmar thing), and I don't think that either of the Bobs in question told a lie in this thread. It just appears that they weren't too forthcoming with the truth.

Now, since that is out in the open, I would say good catch to Inspector for the discovery (good handle, eh?) and kudos to Yanmar4life for spotting something that was off center to start with. Maybe now we can rest easy knowing that the mystery of the Ke3d is solved

"..and I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids!!"

Take it easy
