Keep Truck in garage or the tractor?

Add on. With my latest addition, I can fit our pickup, truck camper, (2) SUV’s, car, van, boat, bush hog, and (4) tractors in our barn during the winter. My main snowplow tractor goes out on the porch but at least has a roof over it.

2 Veh. Carport. I added a side cover for the tractors like that. Winters are mild in Ga. so I mow 8 months a Yr.. The easy access is nice. The ford tractor is gas. Truck also. Yanmar Diesel has a Super smokey cold Start and was pretty much a deciding factor of a need to enclose it. 20yrs. for the carport and 16 for the Ym.. No complaints. Org from WV. so if the winter Temps. was the case Building/Barn no doubt.

I can fit 2 of car, truck or tractor in garage/barn.

Lean-to outside usually has the tractor.

Truck sits out unless we are out of town.

Car usually in barn.

I keep 2 classic cars in garage year round except for nice weather driving.
Truck and wife's car stay outside year round.
Garage bay with lift stays open spring through fall for lift use.
In winter the tractor goes in garage for easier starts.

It’s getting close to the time of year when I start shuffling everything around to fit into the barn. It’s going to be trickier than normal this winter, because one of my old tractors quit running in the late spring (fortunately after I had finished all of my plowing with it), and I have not had time to get it running again. I need to push it into a spot where it will be easy to work on over the winter.

Our garage has all the gold prospecting equipment, dredge 4 inch proline, dry washer, a fisher and minelab metal detector, gold wheel, gold pans, classifiers, 2 large 600 watt speakers, 2 table saws, band saw, lathe, planer, whirl pool bath tub, standard bath tub, radial arm saw, an old tractor hydrostatic says 14 hp but actually 18 hp has wheel weights used for plowing garden, 4x4x9' 4x6x9' approx 9 of them, 4x8x1/2 in foam insulating sheets, all kinds of tools paints and thinners etc, oil, wire welder, my old wood stove ham radio equipment. I am going to start selling some of this stuff as I don't use it any more and it just takes up space Trucks and cars and tractor stay outside for now.
I have an old 87 jeep grand cherokee that needs to be
restored wife wanted it never enough time for work on it

Tractor gets the garage.
The truck is getting driven to work and sitting out in the parking lot in weather 5 days a week in paint/plastic/hoses destroying sun, rain, snow, whatever. That would leave the garage unused 50 hours a week.
Also during snow days, the truck comes home dripping road salt slush, and snow. No desire to have it melting in the garage, just to drive back on the slushy salt road the next day.
Being only a weekend warrior, the open cab tractor gets the most garage utilization, and is a longer lived machine irregardless.
Hopefully never have to buy a tier IV.

SUV and truck stay outside. Tractor and all other items stay in the barn. Keep the garage open for a workshop or tinkering when need be.

I use one for a tool shed. Just a few feet larger LxW.. Work bench Air compressors,Tool boxes. I have a ramp also to move the small things inside and to work on. ATV. Lawnmowers Etc... then a carport for cover and ease to get to the Cars,Truck,Tractors Etc.. They stay outside. Not much cold weather in Ga. and ease to work on or operate it. Diesel smoke in a garage is not happening!! Mentioned this before I believe.
