1 car garage, have tractor, Zero turn, log splitter, 18ft canoe, kayak, rototiller, 4 5gal containers for diesel. 2 5gal containers for gas. 1 5gal container gas/oil for chainsaws and yard trimmers. Lots of garden tools on side wall. Car lives out in the weather.

I feel like controls and electrical components are better suited to being outdoors in a car... Tractors, open stations especially, there is a lot more room for weather and critters to get into places you don't want.

I built a barn so we could keep three cars, three motorcycles, the tractor and all other equipment under roof.

I kept my last tractor outside for 15 yrs. It deteriorated hoses, seat, rubber and plastic crumbled. My new tractor, acquired last year, now stays in the barn. We tend to trade trucks more often than tractors so the negative effects are less on the truck, van, and a car kept outside....my daily driver and 2 collector cars are indoors. The southern sun in brutal on paint and plastic. How about a carport for the truck?
The sun in general is wicked on Kubota's, especially the paint that fades from Kubota Orange to Mary Kay pink.

Which are you going to keep longer?

My tractors are from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's.

My trucks/cars are from the 00's, 10's, and 20's.

It's painful to see the neighbor leave his Kubota out in the weather. Mine is tucked in the barn with the mouse patrol sleeping on the hood or in the seat and yeah the truck and the van are outside...

Agree with John - get an inexpensive hoop shed (Harbor Freight etc) 12x20 and keep it covered out of the elements. Even a lean-to or carport so its protected.

Tarps are not great - critters like to make nests, they trap water etc. - an open lean-to or carport lets air thru and less critters take up residence.

That is a great idea never thought about a Harbor Freight shed lol

Car and truck outside. Tractor, mowers, implements inside.
I spec'd a 10x32' lean to when my barn was built for the equipment trailer and truck plow.
