Kerosene/Diesel question

I think gas goes stale because of the formation of goo in it, due to reaction of teeny tiny amounts of chemicals in there that want to react. The butane/propane is usually released only if the gas is agitated such as being poured or pumped, but it can some out if the container goes through heat-up cycles.
