My recent trip to FL made me wonder if there were even more as it seemed every car had a plate with a different theme.

I just hopped on PA's DOT site because I wanted to link to one of PA's worst plates (the one with the 2 ships but apparently it's gone).
Well, I ran across several new plates I didn't know existed. Looks like we now have FL beat.

We (PA) now has:
33 plates for
NASCAR drivers

112 specialty organization plates Here's the list

Plus the Special Fund plates (4) and the normal state plate.

That gives PA 150 different license plate options. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

CT has the preserve the sound plates with the lighthouse on them... I have one and I think it was 50 bucks more. The 50 bucks went to a fund to clean up long island sound...

If the attachement doesn't work, if you go to the thread that Ron pointed to, and try the license plate maker, you can find that plate you were referring to.

Virginia now has 180 different plates (second only to California). This page lets you pick the plate, add your text and see what it will look like before you order it. We have a lot of vanity plates, because the cost is only $10.

Yep, that's the one. It looks like PA has pulled the plug on that one. I like the bczoom /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't get me wrong when I said it was the "worst". I like the ships but you cannot read the lettering on the plate once you're more than about 10' away.

Yes, they couldn't read it and I agree it may be the best plate for some of the less law abiding people (although I never spent the money to get one for myself /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif).
