I have the 66” CCI tiller behind my DX-33. Here are a few pics: http://www.pixagogo.com/7000025205 This was on hard ground. We had been in a drought for months. It didn’t even pull the tractor down. And I had to cut my driveshaft also. No biggie. This was a test run after I cut the shaft. I put the PTO shaft guard on later.

I sure wish we lived closer together heehaw. I'd love to take that 48" off your hands for my little BX2200. It wouldn't bother me a bit to cut down the pto shaft.....I had to do it for my rotary cutter.

I have had a KK gear drive 60" tiller since they first came out. It has tilled a lot of Northern Wisconsin clay mixed in with rocks. Anywhere from fist sized to house size. It bounces off of what it can't toss up. It will bring up rocks that are 8-12" across and weigh as much as you want to pick up! In 3 years It has gotten new fluid once (last spring) and has broken 2-3 tines. I think that was from a tie down incident where the tiller was racheted down and not the tractor...

Real real real nice feature of these is the standard slip clutch. Don't even think about getting a tiller with shear bolts if you have any rocks or roots! First time it was used, we got a lot of clutch smell. Don't think I could have put in a full days work with a bolt popping every 15 minutes! And it has put in many full days work.

It's the only KK implement I own and it compares well to my Woods BrushBull 600 cutter and gannon landscaper box blade in quality and toughness.

I have a 60" KK tiller on my Kubota B2710, which has 20 PTO hp. I'm real happy with it. Sometimes it is a little too much tiller for the tractor, but I just slow down and/or take more shallow passes. I have tilled about 4 or 5 acres so far and had no problems. Some of that pretty tough clay soil, but no real big rocks.

We use a 72'' KK behind a M9000 KUBOTA to smooth up where we push out sick orange trees before we replant a new one. Lots of roots still sticking up out of the ground sometimes. No problems yet.

I own 3 KK products (48" brush hog, 48" box blade and a combo middle buster/subsoiler). My rototiller is a used $300 Yanmar RS1200 (also 48"). Couldn't afford the price of a new tiller.

I have no problem with the KK equipment I own in actual use. They work as advertized.

But be advised that getting them assembled can be a bear. The holes in 3pt support bars for the brush hog didn't line up so I had to bend the bars and use a couple of large acme-thread C-clamps to get that thing assembled.

When I got around to attaching the subsoiler, I found that the U-bracket that holds the end of the top link was about 1/8" too narrow to accept the top link ball joint. More work with a prybar and pipe/chisel to get that assembly done.

These little things are aggravating and should not occur in a quality product.

This may be what some people are referring to when they gripe about KK's quality. I know I uttered a few choice curse words in KK's direction when I was trying to get their stuff assembled and hitched to my tractor.

grease and fill with oil? I decided to buy a 72" KK tiller from a tsc and noticed a decal warning tillers are shipped without oil in crankcase and gearbox and without greased in fittings. The dealer said they usually didn't prepare tillers for use but might work something out. Had to order one because they had sold two the day before ,so not sure what to expect when it comes in.I can grease and fill but seems like there is less and less customer satisfaction focused on. Was wondering if others who bought this tiller had to grease and fill with oil themselves or did their dealer do it for them at no charge. thanks for any response

Yes, Purchased my KK tiller from Tractor Supply Company and I needed to grease and fill the gearbox myself. Only takes a few minutes, so it didn't matter to me..
I've used my KK tiller a lot over the last 5 years, no problems, tills good..

Bought all my KK implements at TSC in Red Bluff, CA.
The sales guy filled the brush hog gear box before he loaded it into my F150. No charge for the lube.

I bought an extra toplink at TSC that wouldn't fit in whichever implement's "U" I was hooking up at the time. Now that I think about it, it may have even been where it attaches to the tractor where it wouldn't fit.... I modified the toplink's balljoint itself with a hand grinder and a cutoff wheel. It seemed like the least path of resistence.

I also had to add oil and grease my tiller, but the stuff I have boughten from TSC came assembled.
