I like the gear box, it's built like a tank and much more heavy duty than it needs to be on a 4' cutter. I just can't get mine to stop leaking. )</font>
This last year the gearbox seal on my KK was destroyed by barbed wire winding around the shaft ( and my habit of going through a pocket full of shear bolts every time I mow. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) I had my old Howse sitting in my scrap pile with a perfectly good gearbox even though the sheet metal was in sad shape. I took off the Howse gearbox and installed it on my KK. It fit perfect, same bolt pattern. Now I have the best of both worlds on my "King-Howse-Kutter." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
