Kioti and parts availability warning

/ Kioti and parts availability warning #21
Intriguing gentlemen, but back to the question. Have any of you ever had trouble getting parts for your Kiotis or do yall just like to keep them nice and shiny in their sheds and only take them out on weekends?
I have only had mine for 4 years, but parts are always right there. My dealer is 140 miles away from me and all I do is pick up the phone and give him my CC info. He couriers the parts to me.

My CK30hst, 11 years old now and around 800 hours, has been for the most part flawless. Fuel gauge sending unit while under warranty and new key switch when about 6 years old. Received the parts in under a week. Maintenance parts are always on the dealer's shelf. I needed new bh boom bushings for my KB2375 after around 8 years, and had them in a week. I'm sure there is always that one odd part you need that might be out of stock.

Re: Kioti and parts availability warning. Is it true?

One thing I did when I was shopping and decided to seriously consider a Kioti was to talk directly to people who owned them. I very pleased to hear that all the rumors that the lousy salesmen and brand name junkies were spreading were nothing but just that False rumors. Three years in now with mine and I haven't needed anything besides filters and that is something that JD and Kubota have not ever given me as of yet. The parts I did order for adding a second remote were received in less than a week which is about the same as most parts I have ordered from other brands over the years.

When ever I hear a salesman talk crap about the competition I call them on it and demand they produce evidence! To date not a one has been able to back up their claims of the other makers weakness. Then I simply buy from a different dealer even if I decide to buy that brand. Trash talk has no place in sales and a dealer or salesman who stoops to it doesn't deserve my business.

Agreed, the sales schools I have went to all advised against doing it. It rarely works, and it usually angers more people than you can possibly sway your way with FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).

As others have said, it's just a salesman talking smack! Of course he's going to talk bad about the competition especially Kioti. Kioti is a good brand and builds a quality product. Are you going to have a problem and need a part? Who knows, same as you could w/ Kub. or JD. They are machines, things can go wrong. Hopefully not, but it can happen.

Kioti has good parts availability on their more recent and current machines and hopefully will continue that. Kioti just celebrated it's 30 anniversary of being in the US. Some of the very early tractors are getting a little hard to get parts for but I think as Kioti continues to grow and get more and more machines out in the market, their parts availability will get better and better and go farther back on their models.

I have a 2011 CK30 w/ @ 450 hrs. on it and use it hard. No problems. The new model tractors, CK10's and NX's are even nicer.

So just disregard the competitive B.S..

I looked in the spring 2014 at Branson because i wanted a tractor but had no pressing thoughts of buying but had some time to kill. I Talked to the owner and he showed me a chart and started talking about how their tractors were better than all the other brands out there..I don't like bashing another brands of anything. The Branson looked nice and I left to check out JD, Kubota..etc. A few days later decided to check out the Kioti. I bought the CK35 soon after. Right before winter I decided I wanted a cab and the dealer said he would basically give most my money on trade. So I traded on my NX...no problems with either and all the stuff ordered has been about a week to get. Oh, on the CK I wanted the right side step added. He said he thought he had one in stock. He did and just gave it to me. My NX I got in November. A week later he called and asked for my address. I asked why and he said I'm sending you a turkey. lol... The day before Thanksgiving I got a package in the mail...their was a note inside that just said "it's not a turkey, happy thanksgiving " and I opened up the NX Service Manual.
Also, both recalls on my NX the dealer said to not to worry about it and i wouldnt have to do anything. He sent his guys to my house both times to do the updates.
I think I made the right choice.

Commancheflight, would you care to give us the part number for the service manual? I also have an NX4510HST purchased new in 2015. Bob

My parts for Kioti while limited so far were quick and available. The Woods parts and rake took over a month to get in.

I can’t add anything of value to the topic since I’ve had my CK4010 for 2 months. I will say that the dealers in my area have most of the maintenance parts in stock when I will need them (I asked before I bought).

If I may ask a Kioti relevant question: For those of you who use the backhoe attachment, I’m considering shorter operator sticks since they hit in the middle and the travel is too long for my liking. Do they make shorter control sticks or has anyone heard of someone altering theirs?

I have the backhoe for my NX and also had one on my CK35 and have to admit I don't know what your referring to about hit in the middle. Really don't think I would change a thing on mine. Works perfect.

I have a CK30hst with the KB2375 bh. Never had my control sticks hit together in the middle or otherwise. I don't believe shorter sticks are made and you would have to modify them. Shorter sticks would make for faster valve travel with the same hand travel/movement and might make the bh functions/hydraulic flow rate harder to regulate/control.

If your sticks are hitting each other then they must be out of alignment...are they secure, or do they rotate/twist? Something is wrong there.

I have my tractor for about 5 months. I did have to get a stabilizer link replaced that I damaged. It took 3-5 business days for the part to get to the dealer. I thought the parts time from factory to dealer for a low ordered item to be reasonable.

The sticks should come out of the valve, come up a few inches and bend away from each other.
It is also possible for them to be put on upside down, which can make this happen.
If they come up 8 inches (approx) then bend out, they are upside down.

My DK40se lives on an island. It has never been off in ten years. Never required maintenance I couldn't do in my backyard. Parts, when rarely needed, come via UPS from my dealer 300 miles away and I've never had a delay or difficulty in getting parts or supplies. Had a CK20 before my current tractor and never had issues there either. Total of about 900hrs on both over 12 years. No issues other than broken seatbelt latch, cracked fuel bowl and a couple of pretzeled bucket level indicator rods.

The Kubota salesman is FOS.

pretzeled bucket level indicator rods.

Yeah, and those were your own darn fault. :D I wadded up mine too, but I put it on a table and hammered it out back straight again.. Still using it..

Yeah but you only wadded up one. I've been through several replacements and have finally thrown in the towel and don't use one anymore. My last one is partially resurrected and kept off the tractor except when I really need it.
