Price Check Kioti CK3510SE

   / Kioti CK3510SE #21
You didn't mention, or I missed it, but are you going to be needing to move brush, logs or the like? Do you have ANY intentions of ever getting a grapple for the loader? If so, maybe at least check on getting the Kioti 3rd function kit for the loader. It is almost always less $$$ when getting these things with the initial purchase.

Good luck. ;)

This is great advice, Brian, as usual! :salute: I haven't yet seen the new Kioti OEM 3rd function in person, but I've read one or two reports here on TBN that some dealers are offering it for as little as $700, installed, with a new tractor purchase.

BTW, SGT3694, if you aren't familiar with a grapple attachment for a CUT, now's the time to investigate it. There are videos on YouTube of grapples at work. There's a good chance you will at least want one in the future and be glad you have this kit for one already on board! :)

Thank you I will look into it. What about the 3rd function? What is that for and should I get it done? Thanks again

If you ever want a grapple or anything on the FEL that needs additional hydraulics you will need a 3rd function. Dealer put a WR Long on mine instead of the Kioti one. I like it better, no extra box hanging off the bottom. And it was $100 off if installed with purchase instead of later.
Also if looking at a 3510. I would consider the SE. It has two rear remotes a better seat, floor mat, etc.
In your initial post you asked about implement sizes. I got a 66" bucket on the FEL and a Woods 65" box blade. Seems to be about the perfect width. I am running R4 tires. They are a little wider than the R1 ag tires.
You will want the tires filled.

I'll add a bit to what cholland posted. And others, especially Brian at Fit-Rite, may jump in too.

The grapple attaches to your FEL in place of the loader's bucket using the FEL quick-attach mechanism. While the existing hydraulics of the FEL already will allow you to raise, lower, curl and dump just as with a bucket, you'll still need two more hydraulic lines to route power to the cylinders that open and close the lid or lids of the grapple, plus a valve to control the hydraulic flow.

There are two popular ways to do this. The least expensive, but quite functional, is to use one of the two sets of rear remote valves that will come standard on the CK3510SE you're pricing, and run two hydraulic hoses from there up to the front of the loader. Then you'd use the small control lever located beside your seat on the CK to open and close the grapple. A second, more user-friendly and more expensive option is install a "3rd function" kit, from any one of several good after-market sources. Now Kioti has started offering its own kit. I've heard good things about it, especially price. Like cholland, I myself have dealer-installed W.R. Long 3rd function kits on two of my tractors, and happen to like them a lot. I think mine were $1,200 installed, though.

The kits typically come with a separate, electrically operated solenoid valve, hoses and fittings that tap into the "power beyond" port on your loader valve. They also come with a hand grip with built-in rocker switch that replaces the standard joystick grip. This is much easier to use, because you can open and close the grapple with your thumb or finger while raising, lowering, curling and dumping without taking your right hand off the joystick. Plus, it leaves both of the rear remotes valve sets free for other things. Like adding "top 'n tilt" hydraulic top link and side link cylinders that replace the standard, manual three-point hitch adjusters. It lets you make adjustments of implement angles "on the fly".

BTW, "top 'n tilt" is likewise something I'm pretty sure you'll end up wanting in the future.

Thank You so much. I’m going to have them install the 3rd link. And ask about how much for a grappler. I think that would really come in handy on my property. You guys gave me so much great info. I feel more prepared to deal with a Salemen. At least I know a little more about what I need. Thank you guys so much.

If you are clearing brush or timbered property a grapple is essential. You may find you use it more than the bucket.
If you plan to use the box blade a lot a top & tilt kit is another great add on. Make adjusting so much faster and easier on the fly.
If you are trying to finance your attachments with the purchase that is one thing. But you can find used attachments and sometimes better deals or better quality attachments if purchasing separately. For example a top & tilt is likely less expensive and easy to install yourself, but a 3rd function on the FEL is better to let a dealer install.
If planning to change the 3 pt implements often, consider a quick hitch and also the compatibility of the quick hitch with your desired implements.
Also a backhoe is great and worth it if you plan to use it a lot, but they are expensive and some would suggest, if you only need a backhoe occasionally, it is better to just rent a mini excavator for those projects and put the money towards your other implements.

Not sure, but I don't think Kioti offers its own label grapple yet. Certainly ask your dealer what he likes, but there are lots of posts, and several threads, here on TBN about grapples. I happen to like the Everything Attachments grapples for CUTs because of their strength to weight ratios. But there are other good brands available. Grapples designed for skid steer loaders and large tractors can eat up a lot of the FEL lifting capacity pretty quick.

Yes thanks I think I’ll have them install the 3rd function then look maybe at the ea grapple after I buy the tractor. I’m pretty handy so if not that complicated I can do stuff myself. Thanks again
