Thank You so much. It was suppose to be for no cab. I知 going there this week to sit down and get every detail and price. Maybe he just gave me a MSRP Quote. At least I hope. I really did not want to go over $35,000 but if it means to get a much better package I will do it. I just want a fair deal. I really hate buying new cars so I知 always on defense with this type of purchase. I don稚 know if its like buying a new car and you haggle with them or is it one price and that痴 it? Thank you for the info.
Some more thoughts. Don't be put off by the idea of buying new. That makes things much easier, since it's easier to compare quotes. But, you need to know the component prices. When you meet again with the dealer in Afton, explain that it's a big purchase for you, and you need for him to break out the pricing for the tractor and each piece of equipment to understand the deal.
Since you're uncomfortable about the total, for good reason at this point, don't feel pressure to make a deal right then. I just checked the Kioti "find a dealer" map, and there are
five Kioti dealers within reasonable striking distance of you. My favorite dealer, out of several, is 100 miles from me, and it's been no problem over the past five years.
Once you understand the pricing you're being quoted, just make some calls to other dealers. Tell them you've done your due diligence on brand and model and are ready to buy if you can find the best pricing that's fair to everyone. It won't surprise anyone that you're shopping around, so don't be reluctant to do it. However, in fairness to the Afton dealer (or any other that gives you a firm quote), I definitely would
not say what the quotes are that you've gotten. It's enough for the dealers to know you're being diligent about this. Apart from just being the right thing to do, you might well be dealing with the different dealers again in the future for service, parts and more equipment. So you want to be known as a straight shooter who gives everyone the opportunity to earn your business.
A Kioti dealer's margin on new tractor sales is actually pretty thin, but the dealer wants to sell tractors, obviously. Unless something has changed at Kioti USA corporate recently, Dealers aren't restricted from selling out of their immediate geographical areas. So there is some competition for the sale, but also for bragging rights on market reach.
