Oleozz.. I find that minor statement of yours not in very good taste and certainly NOT within the spirit of what I might see this site to be all about, however there is always some rude bugger like you who takes things a little too seriously.

If you had read my past posts you might care to notice that I was just originally enquiring if anyone could give me an indication on just how good the Kioti-Daedong DK50 is. My dad was thinking of buying one, and in fact has since bought one. As my dad is Internet illiterate, he asked me to do some research for him, which I was happy to do.

I simply used the name 'Tractor Chick' to be a part of this forum, and join in the fun of international relationships. I don't drive the tractor and don't farm (although I can, and probably have more experience on tractors and machinary than you!. Oleozz), as I was raised on the family farm and left to persue another career path.

With respect to a pic, not only will I post one some time soon with my dad's new DK50, but I am only too happy to send off an Aussie T shirt to Kioti John, who, in fact, has been really helpful and a thorough gentleman, as have been all the other participants that I have met in TracorByNet..... with the one exception..YOU!!. Oleozz... Lighten up, Mate and don't take life so seriously.

Can we now say that the infamous 'Oleozz' has been 'straightened out'. One would hope so.

Cheers....

Oleozz said: ( One of the neat things about the Net is you get to hear about people and places that normally you wouldn't have contact with. )
And some of the un-neat things about the net is that no one can tell what your voice inflection would have been had you been speaking the words. No one can see your face for a clue about how something is meant. Something said in pure jest can suddenly seem very serious and even insulting, and I feel very sure that is the case here.
Getting caught up in the spirit of the debate, sometimes one may choose his/her words poorly, and I'm sure Oleozz did not mean to be insulting as regards "has the Chick straightened out..."
I don't have to defend anyone, but I do believe these words were simply poorly chosen, and I hope we can all just smile and say, "Yep, I sure misunderstood that one, and it won't be the last time I'll do that."
We DO love to get along here, and sometimes past stirrers have made some of us a little "gun shy," and this whole thread did have earmarks of someone just trying to stir up the old Ku vs Ki thing which has caused much trouble over the last couple of years, and the main reason I didn't really want to pursue the issue.
Riccarda, thanks for your kind private message offer to send me a T-shirt anyway, but it really is not necessary, and I wouldn't feel right accepting it since I was not betting.
Now had I bet with you, you can believe I'd be wanting to collect! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I look forward to seeing a new thread from you all about your Dad and his new Kioti/Daedong/dingdong DK50!
Let's just end this one, okay?
John

Re: Kioti-Daedong and the Kubota influence\'

Don't take it to heart 'Tractor Chick' . I'm sure you might have seen the "battles" between some tractor owners in the past. Many get carried away and some people still have a hard time believing that conversations could be just that....a conversation. Most are beyond that now.
On the upside, your Dad will absolutely LOVE his new tractor, and we would love for you guys to trade shirts! (Of course with the picture) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
I actually thought this was a fun post to read! Thank you for your good humor!

Re: Kioti-Daedong and the Kubota influence\'

G'day Kioti John and Rico,

Thanks for being nice guys. It's Saturday mid morning here and my Dad is down at the creek loading some soft river sand from his new Kioti Ding-Dong into a little Tip Truck to bring it up for his garden.

Later I'll get a pic of me with it, and then that will keep the peace.

We have some funny sayings here in Australia, and when I go back to Europe to work, I often miss them and their unusual hunour. But I wont add too many in here as it might offend.. haha

Cheers from Riccarda /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Chick-I don't really know what you are talking about but maybe that's for the best. I didn't mean anything offensive but if you took it that way so be it, gday to you Mate!

One thing about that Kioti, it'll go all Dae Dong!
As I said before, you're a good farmer's daughter. It was very nice of you to help your dad out in his hunt for a tractor. The internet can be very confusing and even frightening at times for the uninitiated.
G'day.
BTW, do they say "chick" in OZ? Or do they use the British "bird?"

Re: Kioti-Daedong and the Kubota influence\'

G'day again John,

Mostly here they use 'chick', 'girl', rarely 'bird' plus a host of other names that would be offensive to post here.. haha

The boys are all outside washing down the tractors, so I'll be able to do some pictures then.

Cheers from Riccarda /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Jeez, washing a tractor. What is that? I've heard of many on here actually washing and waxing on a regular basis. I washed mine once to get some bird dung off, but I'm afraid it would fall apart if it couldn't have dirt on it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Watch out, the other orange team might be watching. Loose lips sink tractors. We would want to have to bring you up on treason charges! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
