Does anyone know where the electric silonoid for the 2wd to 4wd sits? Is it outside the transmission, or buried down in the transmission? And what is with the grease fitting being inside the boom? Is this feature patented by New Holland? Seeems so inconvenient to place them inside the boom for greaseing. Also for the electric PTO, is it acessible for service, or replacement? Does anyone know replacement cost for these units? Has anyone ever had one go bad? Sorry for posting twice, but wanted to allow everyone to respond with any experience with these items.

I'm not sure all the Kioti models have the electric 2wd/4wd.
I know my DK 35 has a manual lever to push/pull. (Maybe the newer DK 35 model are electric /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

This must just be a personal preferance type thing, because I prefer my grease fittings on the inside of the boom so you aren't looking at a grease filled/dirty hole on the outside of the boom arms.

Also as far as loader removal that was mentioned in another thread. As long I remove it in a level area my loader goes on and off quickly and easily.

Hello Drew, the model I'm looking at possibly buying is the DK45S. Thanks for your response!

We have a DK45S. the solenoids for PTO and 4WD are outside mounted on hydraulic manifolds, the clutches themselves are Hydraulic with electric control solenoids. The PTOs have been run this way for some time and it is very reliable. using it for 4wd should be equally trouble free. I did count 6 grease fittings on the loader facing inward, these are "through the pin" grease fittings with the retaining caps/bolts on the outside. it does look better this way IMHO but it is true you have to reach around with the grease gun. It does make it more convienient to check the bolts for tightness however.
