That's really cool that you can swap out the rake for a blade. Sort of a tool carrier.

Everyone in the <60 horsepower, "residential" tractor segment has to envy Kubota its success. Clearly, having Kubota and Land Pride implements (and now Vermeer implements) in the yard, color matched to Kubota tractors, and seamlessly mixable into '0' finance, has been a BIG one stop shopping advantage for Kubota.

Marketing requires distinct mind set and distinct skills from manufacturing. Woods' web site has been underwhelming forever. Fine equipment, underwhelming marketing. (I am always surprised not to see Woods as an exhibitor at the huge Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Georgia, each September.) Both Woods and Kioti must expect this to be a win/win combination. Ceteris paribus, I expect more Woods/Kioti equipment will soon be sold in Canada and Mexico through Kioti dealers, for instance. As Land Pride has incrementally come under 100% Kubota ownership and Vermeer probably will, watch to see if the same does not happen to Woods with Kioti over the next decade.

In every international business today it is GROW OR DIE.

If I were Piranha Tooth Bars, for one, this Kioti/Woods arrangement would make me nervous.

LS (Korean) tractor dealers too.

I like your system the best. :) I don't care what colour they are either. A rattle can of paint and they can become whatever colour I want.

I don't see why anyone has a problem with this, Woods makes good implements, I already have a orange Woods backhoe for my kioti, bought it because I didn't really know where the kioti hoe came from and the Woods had good specs and reputation.

Honestly I don't see the issue with rebranding, you can generally find out who makes what with a little research, most your tractors aren't even made by the company who's brand rides on the hood

I simply don't like the deception of it. Lord knows our citizens are confused enough as it is without adding more confusion. If Woods wants to paint your piece of equipment pink at your request that's great, just leave the Woods name on it so there's no doubt as to it's origin.

As I said at the beginning, in a couple years there will be heated discussion on this very website between members as to which implement is better Woods or Kioti. :)

Well I don't think I'd call it deception, deception is when someone intentionally takes steps to make something seem what it's not for some nefarious reason, this is simply one company contracting another company to build their implements. I'd rather see tractor brands go with rebrands from experienced quality implement manufacturers than get their stuff from who knows where China.

I would like to see them brand it Kioto by Woods as they did with the cabelas line simply to keep the consumer more informed as to what they're getting and give them an easier route to get specs and compare while shopping

Like Richard, I prefer the label be the one of the manufacturer and not a rebrand, but the boat has sailed on that long ago. I usually buy Land Pride in Kubota orange, but have two yellow Woods rotary cutters. Our local Woods "dealers" are pathetic, so if putting Kioti etc. on them makes them easier to get parts etc., I can live with it.

I can never find decent used equipment, so end up buying new.

As you know Larry, I'm very fortunate in my search for used equipment. There's just not much demand for the size equipment I'm searching for here. And my friend, the Scrap Iron guy, has helped me considerably. :)
