Re: Kioti Isn\'t Worth the Risk

I have owned both brands and consider both to be outstanding tractors . I remember back in the early 70's when the rental Kubota's we used were always breaking . Kubota learned from their mistakes and they just kept getting better made with time . Heck, Kubota did not really have anyone one else to follow in their designs as they were front runners in the CUTs. I believe now a lot of tractor company's have learned from Kubota's trial's and errors over the years and designed some really good tractors .
It's all about choices and a person's personal needs for his tractor selection . Yes , I sold my Kubota and did not lose a dime after 4 or 5 years of use , but I also kept it in perfect condition . I suspect the same result will happen with my Kioti should I ever decide to sell it .My Kioti fits my needs perfectly and they were willing to deal more than the tried and true Kubota dealers . I have a feeling as more Kioti's are sold and the name gets well known the price will also go up as did with Kubota's .
Respectfully,
Big Al

Wonder what the resale value of a used Power Trac is? Do they have a good professional dealer network?

Re: Kioti Isn\'t Worth the Risk

All the nay-sayers should look at Kioti now. It looks like Kioti was very much worth the "risk"! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Kioti Isn\'t Worth the Risk

I guess if you want to play it safe, sticking with the big three is one way to go. But then someone with this attitude probably would not have invested in Microsoft, because we all know these home computers will never catch on. Or would never have given up their buggy whip business because you cannot replace the horse. Or maybe we would all still be members of the "Flat Earth Society".

Sometimes the biggest risk is not taking one /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif.

[ They can take my buggy whip when they pry my cold dead hands away from it !
The earth isn't flat ? With all these Kioti tractors moving dirt , I beg to differ !

Re: Kioti Isn\'t Worth the Risk

I remember going to an auction about 4 years ago. At this auction there was a 20 hp John Deere with a FEL. The reserve bid on it was about $13,000. It had probably close to 1000 hours on it. Needless to say it did not sell. So much for high resale!
I walked away from that auction figuring that I would never be able to replace my old Ford Jubilee. Then I discovered Kioti. DK45 with Woods FEL for $17,800. As they say, The Rest Is History!

P.S. As the old undertaker use to say, a fool and his money are soon departed!

Wow Dewave, I didn't even notice when this thread originated! I just went back to the original post and confirmed your date info! 2 years ago it may have looked a little bit different than today, but I'd have to think the course was set and the trend clearly established for the Kioti brand. The idea of any kind of extraordinary risk associated with the brand seems remote today. DMB.

Re: Kioti Isn\'t Worth the Risk

Resale value equates also to purchase price. The CK-20 I bought was $3150.00 less than the kubota 7510. Both tractors were equipped with the same features. In 15 years when I get a new tractor I won't even care what I paid.
