Kioti Loaders vs Kubota

/ Kioti Loaders vs Kubota #51
It is funny reading this entire post how much Kioti is Kubota 20-30 years ago. They were the pup in the pen trying to be one of the big dogs on the porch.

The whole picture is alot bigger than this, the market dynamics that allowed Kubota to grow like they have probably won't come around again with compact tractors.

Yep. Those who first create the market take the lion share of the spoils for decades afterwards. Look at Amazon, Microsoft, etc.

See this is your first post. Welcome. Not sure if I can help you but others may need more info. Is this tractor new to you? How many hours on it? Was it sudden or a more gradual loss of lifting capacity? Any noticeable leaks? Have you checked your fluid level? Wish you the best with your problem. :)

Welcome Forest.....
It would be best to start another thread in the "Owning and Operating" section.
It also helps others when they may have the same problem.
They can search and may find your thread with the same problem.

very good point island, like lightning striking, the first one into a big opportunity can often experience success not to be duplicated.

Will take a long long long time for another brand to approach Kubota and Deere in volume.

I'm thinking that in part is why Daedong is going the Bobcat route, an effort to more quickly capture market share.

It seems somewhat short sighted for Kioti to try to increase market share by aligning with another brand name and competing against themselves for the same market share- like being schizophrenic to some extent. If they are undercutting their own Kioti machines by offering essentially the same product,( for all but the most savvy consumers can tell these days), and offering it with a different badge and colors, what's the point when they could do a better job at making the Kioti line as strong and as price point solid by just having the one badge and dealer support network?!
I'm not saying right or wrong; I'm just asking the question.:confused2:

Kioti is just an American reseller of the tractors and is NOT the company that made the contract to sell tractors to Bobcat. The parent company (DaeDong) which actually makes the tractors is the one selling tractors to Bobcat.

Yes, I'm aware of whom the parent company is. I said Kioti as a general term describing the situation where Bobcat is now competition against Kioti tractor sales in the American marketplace. Essentially the same tractors/parts in many respects available through different brand names and at different prices with similar features. I see it as dilution of the market when DaeDong /Kioti could be building a stronger presence in the American market by sticking with one brand name to market their tractors.

I have been wondering the exact same thing. Though it seems to work for Ford/Mercury, GM in general, MTD.... but everyone seems to know those are the same. But I just had a guy tell me how excited he was about a Bobcat tractor he looked at and I told him to see if he could get a Kioti cheaper and he was SHOCKED that Bobcat was not a unique brand.
