Kioti Loaders vs Kubota

/ Kioti Loaders vs Kubota #41
the kioti's I've had in were all around the 1,000 hour mark as well as a few other makes like belarus with some of those hitting up to 3000 hours, .

Ouch! Art, that is a low blow to put Kioti in the same sentence as a Belarus and worse giving the Belarus more hours. I'll take it as a joke or assume that you are actually concerned enough about Kioti that you do what you can to denigrate the brand in order to sell more expensive tractors.

I have to say Art is a good story teller but writes in inferences and inuendoes. It might make good coversation in someones backroom but it doesn't convey well from a competing dealer in a brand specific forum. Gittyups follow up questions/posts were appropriate and to the point.

IMO, slowzuki said it quite well in his post #38. excerpted below:

Most problems I see on here are dealer setup issues rather than quality control but Kioti and Kubota both have had some design issues in the last few years. Kubota has struggled with trying to make econo 3 pt hitches, Kioti had some axle and front loader issues. We aren't gonna solve any arguments about it because neither company is going to release stats on repairs.

Art writes: Besides, some people need to work on their tractor so why buy one that doesn't give an excuse to go to the man cave and have a cold one.

I guess Kubota's must not need regular maintenance like oil changes, air filters and such.

Have a good evening!

I've taken the time to read all of the posts in this thread and everyone one seems to have an opinion on something, take them for what they are opinions, whether from experience or hersay. I owned two previous Kubota's (albeit small ones) over the past 25 years and have had what 'I' call average problems, nothing to bash about and nothing that would give me a reason not to buy again. The tractors were what 'I' would call very well built and reliable. My last two tractors have been Kioti's for various reasons, the main one is price and I have had no problems with them yet but I've only had them in total about five years now. Yes, technology and feedback over the years have improved them a lot, that's how things get better for the most part of any brand. Kioti may never catch the big three in quality and refinement but they're improving everyday as are the big three. There a variety of reasons for price differences between brands and if you want to try and compare one brand to another for price, it is impossible as each brand has it's reasons for their justification of the price. Let the comsumer decide who will win out if that's what it is all about. I have a tractor that suits me and I am satisfied at the moment until my needs change or something changes my view on my current tractor (CK30HST) or I get like my wife and get tired of the same old thing and change for the sake of change. As far as specifics of lift capacity and flow rates and cycle times, these are irelevant unless you're bought something that will not do what you want, this all comes back to haunt (if that is the appropriate term to use) all of us at some point in time as we all have tried to lift, push or drag something that our tractor would not do, it just a manly thing as a woman would say. As far as reliablity goes, how does each manufacturer look at the design of each tractor as far as how long it will last? I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on that as well, so when comparing tractors do you know how long it was designed to last or even what specific task it may have been designed to do better than another line of the same brand or of another brand altogether. Don't get me wrong, I always enjoy these threads as you see how others look at what they see in a tractor and what they like and dislike. I'm not a brand loyal guy, when I go looking for something it's what I think will suit me at that time. I've owned Kubota, Kioti, GMC, Chev, Dodge, Saturn, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagon, Chrysler, Kawasaki.........they've all had good points and bad points but mostly good in my view. Thanks for your patience and keep up the good postings but also keep it civil.

Steve

Sorry about that but the belarus's were on some small farms in the area. The Kioti's were not from that type of use, more estate type, mowing, loader, manure from horses where many tractors are typically around 100 hours a year in this area.

We have very few kioti's in the immediate area and for some they seem to fit well. They are with home owners and they did buy them because of the deal as well as comfort with the dealer.

The ones we sold new were the best by far that that brand was representing at that time although we are very glad they are with the brand they represent today.

Any way you look at it any tractor is better then no tractor at all!

I've never seen one on a customers property around here. We see more Gray market Yanmars and Kubota's than any Kioti, Mahindra, Montana, etc.

Neil, you never sold any of the 8000 series Cadet's?

Neil, you never sold any of the 8000 series Cadet's?

ugh.. yea, we did. We stopped because of poor support and problems getting parts. Same reasons we stayed out of the Yanmar relationship. I guess you'd have to count those.

Cadet is basically answering to Yanmar on this one! It is the first time I've seen this type of a realationship for any of the companies that market another make. The Yanmar people seem to good to work with and as far as build issues we haven't had any yet with the product.,

We have found them to be very reliable so far.

I don't worry about them either, after reading the report of tractors in the orient that was released this spring where they rated them number two in quality, I was quite impressed. I thought that the list of manufacturers was like a list of auto manufacturers here in the twenties. Most repeat deere owners following the posts here always prefered the older ones for quality that were built more by yanmar then deere.

It is funny reading this entire post how much Kioti is Kubota 20-30 years ago. They were the pup in the pen trying to be one of the big dogs on the porch. Now 25 years later they are the big dog on the porch being talked about by the pup in the pen just like they used to do. I guess by reading all of this and thinking about it Kubota is officially a BIG DOG! Congratulations Kubota on building a great product and being one of the premiere manufacturers of tractors in the world. It is going to be very interesting to see who the next big dog will be...Kioti, Mahindra, etc. I think it is still too early to tell. I purchased a Mahindra a couple of years and 167 hours ago and was thoroughly pleased with it until I spent a day on a friend of mines 3140HST Kubota of the same power as my Mahindra. I can honestly say the Kubota is still way ahead of my Mahindra. At a cost of course. Oh, by the way, I now want a Kubota.
