Call me a party pooper if you want, but anytime any company or dealership feels the need to use derogatory or unflattering remarks about another company rather than touting and selling the benefits of their company/product, it makes me rather uninterested in their product. One of the first rules in selling any product is to sell your product on it's merits. If you can't sell it on it's own merits, pick a different product to sell.

These are just my feelings and I've purchased well over a dozen new tractors and who knows how many used tractors. Believe it or not, I've never bought a new tractor from a dealership that felt the need to talk bad about another brand. That includes telling me that another brand is inferior, is over-priced, that their company is unstable, or even that the other company doesn't have much dealer support available for the owner. As I've mentioned before, I like Kioti tractors and Mahindra tractors in particular for II tier tractors. I would have bought the Mahindra except Mahindra pulled my friend's franchise because he was 2 miles too close to another Mahindra dealer. The only relatively close Kioti dealer sounds like he is one who just wants to spew condescending slogans about other brands like previously mentioned in this thread. Besides his distance and extremely small size being concerning, trying to run down other products completely turned me off from buying from him.

Again, these are just my thoughts, but there are a lot of other people like me in this aspect. If you're only trying to sell me on why I shouldn't buy another brand rather than selling me on your brand, you're not going to make the sale.

I saw nothing derogatory in these statements, maybe a bit of poking fun. It's also a shame some have to use an avitar that includes whipping a mule.

Your sentiments are understood and most on this site would agree with them in the end - from a consumers perspective. From a marketing perspective or sales perspective - generating buzz alone can generate sales. No sales, no business. Unfortunately, some of the best pieces of equipment and tools ever made are no longer made. Someone makes a knockoff or cheaper version of the tool, which isn't quite as good, but costs a significant amount less. People will buy them, until the better tool/equipment can no longer be made. For proof, I submit to you the name "harbor freight". I have 10 and 20year old and older scraping tools for woodwork and painting that cannot be replaced. I have to hand make replacement blades, because the company that made them was crushed by cheaper and inferior imports.

As for the original post, I like the whole association with the animal and the run ahead of the pack. But I believe it could be taken a step further. KIOTI - We feast on the carcasses of Deere. Or how about one for the rednecks: "Buy a Kioti - Our tractors kick ***".

What about a parting gift for those who bought the other Kioti tractor - Bobcat - one expensive white paintjob!:D

Yes, it is 'beating a dead horse'.

And, to be clear, I am NOT going to even bring up Horrible Freight in the same sentence with K....

There's a difference between personally disagreeing with marketing tactics and a place that just plain is pot luck on quality, with most items not having any quality.

White paint is pretty cheap these days. I hope it bounces back before our beloved Kioti dealers resemble Dargo's avatar subject.

I was at Wallace's Picnic this summer, but did not see the "nothing runs like a Deere being chased by a Kioti" tee shirts, I would have bought several.
What's up Mrs Tractor you holding tee-shirts out on us? Are they on your website? Look at all the business they will generate.

I was at the picnic also, where there T-Shirts there? Frankly didn't notice much other than Mrs. Tractor. :) And oh yeah, that big (well really big) loud guy stomping around. :) Oh, and the mascot smashing everything up with the tractor. :)

PS, the Kioti Hauler is temporarily down for the count, as soon as I get her up and running the stickers will be applied and pictures posted.

I understand the T-Shirts Rick had were some years ago.

Dargo, it's called attack advertising or negative advertising. I agree with you, and in it's worst form it's used for political campaigns. There, the attack is usually on the person rather than the ideas, so in my mind you have sunk pretty low.

Unfortunately, polls show attack ads work. I'm running an election campaign this summer, but I will resist all forms of negative ads for both my campaign and my friends who are also running.

Back to the original question, how about:

"My orange mid-life crisis vehicle got lots of power - and it's not a Mustang!"
