BTW...My meter is off

Couple of things: Glad to be of service. Your battery should not read over 12.xx volts with the engine off.
How do you think the connector(s) got the way they are? Immersion in water?
With battery disconnected I'd use a brass brush to get those male prongs as clean as possible and see what you can do with the female socket connector with electric contact cleaner.
Post back pics of clean connector before re-installing it so we can see it.

Water emersion is most likely from the farm....I think my meter is broke because it read 15.75 on my truck battery....I will do the cleaning in the next week as time permits....

Ku0a....Don't worry, i'll be back

FYI...South Grafton, MA

Sorry to beat this point home- but NEVER assume anything, especially when it comes to electrical issues. If your meter reads that high on your truck, you may actually have a problem with the truck, and not the meter. Test your meter on a known source of 12 volts. Check it's batteries too- they should be removed when the meter sits for long periods. Verify whether the meter is inaccurate ASAP.

I verified it on 3 different car batteries...I will be changing the batteries or **** canning it and getting another

Ok...Today I cleaned the contacts and put some dielectric grease on and put them together. Still no luck....So I started from the top and re-checked everything again. Low and behold the 60A fuse was blown (i know I said 30A before, but I didn't have me glasses on). So I replaced it and poof...It works....When I look at the old fuse i couldn't tell that it was blown because there was no indicators like black or discoloring????

Thankx for all you help!

Had rats get in mine. Had lunch on relay wiring in the engine compartment. Fix all that, wouldn't start. Found they got to a wire on the back of the ignition switch and light switch. Fixed that and all is good. I keep moth balls around there now.

Good luck with yours.

Some say 'bounce' dryer sheets will deter the mice too!? I cannot say whether they work or not.

It looked like you had some arcing in that one connector That is likely what blew the 60 amp fuse the first and second time. When you cleaned it up, and replaced the fuse the second time... your good to go. Hopefully all of the corrosion and arcing is behind you, and you will stay fixed.. if not..go back to the connector, and decide what to do from there.
