Kioti NX vs Kubota L

   / Kioti NX vs Kubota L #41
I'm leaning toward a Kioti NX5510. I have had the most amazing tractor in my B7800, and I can't say enough about it and Kubota. I looked at a comparable Kubota (to the Kioti) and I don't like the treadle pedal being exposed on the operator deck (my B7800 has the rocker portion underneath, and while it can get jammed up it doesn't get that way very often, and I run this thing HARD through brush! [I don't think that anything else could keep up with me on this thing!]; my Polaris Brutus is also this way). And I'm tired of holding my arm out operating the loader control. This coupled with the significantly lower-rated loader is why Kioti has my attention. I don't, however, like that the Kioti has so much stuff that's subject to damage; Kubota does a really nice job of tucking stuff up and out of the way: this is why I believe that any comparable tractor to my B7800 would have been busted up and broke down WAY more often).

I went used and small. Got by. Now, however, I have a lot better idea of what I NOW need. Had I went big to start with I might have not made the best choice and I might have regretted it.

My advice would be to call a lot of Kubota dealers.

The first few quotes I got were almost $7000 higher than the fourth one I got.

Some Kubota dealers don't wanna deal, some do.

The same can be said about all makes! My experience was pretty much the same with all brands. The first Kioti dealer I talked to was priced as high without the backhoe as the second one was with it, Mahindra was all over the place as well and once I figured out which Kubota and JD dealers were owned by the same people and called outside their monopoly I got some interesting prices both good and bad.

The bottom line is call around on any brand and get an average to work with. Then if you feel more comfortable with one particular dealer you can try to negotiate a price closer to that average. I talked with my local dealer and told him my next closest price and he beat it by a little bit.
