I've never owned or operated a Kioti, so I can't comment there. The main reasons I went with Kubota is for their legendary engine reliability, huge dealer network/support, resale value, and also the fact that the two Kubs I owned before my current
L5740 were absolutely bulletproof. I actually looked at used models before I bought new, and actually found that I could buy new for a couple grand more, with 0% financing too. It pays to shop around too. I drove 4 hrs out of state, but saved over $5k compared to local dealers. That said, I absolutely love my
L5740. In 3.5 years and 300 hrs it's been flawless. I was originally was skeptical with the HST plus and the extra ranges, but I find that I use them quite often. I haul a lot of firewood out of the woods with the tractor, often on neighboring properties with some road travel with hills. I run in high range on the road, but I have a couple hills that are quite steep, where I simply drop a range with the column shifter, on the fly. It's really like having six ranges. It's also great for loader work. I'm not really sure what the NX60 can do that would kill an
L5740? It's 200# heavier and a couple more engine hp, yet a couple less pto hp. Specs look very similar to me, unless I'm missing something?
