Thanks for the info.

All things being equal (and of course they never are) I'd pay $1000 more for 3 HP.

Thanks for the information. As of today I have a third tractor quote to add to the others. The local MF dealer said he could put me on mf gc2300 with 60'' woods rear blade, 40" woods tiller and 60" mf mmm. All for 11,850 less 4.5% sales tax. Even with no experience I know that is a great deal and I believe it is the way I am going to go.

The Massey is the first "sub"compact I see mentioned in this thread. The Kubota and Kioti mentioned in the first post are full fledged compact utility tractors(CUT's).....

Your comparing apples, oranges and raisins. Stick with the apples and oranges...Preferably the Oranges. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I believe what "shoppin" was trying to convey is that the MF GC2300 isn't in the same class as the Kubota B7610 or the Kioti CK20. The MF mentioned is in line with the Kubota BX series and the JD 2210 and classified as a "sub-CUT", IMHO the most obvious difference being the sub-CUTs having a Cat 0 hitch as opposed to the full fledged CUTs having a Cat 1...such as the Kubota B7XXX series, the Kioti CK's, the NH Boomers, and the JD 42XX's...among many others

I don't think this is an accurate statement.

While the sub cut's 3PH are called cat 1, and while they do seem to be more like a cat 0.75...I don't think they are near being a cat 0.

Please correct me with some specific details if I am wrong. I do know that my Cat 1 implements will hook up to my BX22200, but that I don't have enough lift to swing them around, or to use my PHD, and that is why I call it a cat 0.75... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

oops, my bad...i think i meant to say "CAT 1 LIMITED"...does that sound more accurate?...I know spec wise, there is some difference between the 2 classes...

I'm not sure about yours, but I know I have a 6' woods back blade on my bx2200 and I can turn the blade all the way around without hitting anything in the process.

HP is only really important for mowing. Weight is important for non-PTO work. A 24hp 1700# tractor will mow better but not plow better than a 21hp 2000# tractr. Decide which is more important and buy that tractor.
