Tractor
Kioti CK3510SE HST with cab
Am I being unrealistic? Looking for advice.
This will be my first tractor purchase I was looking at a Kioti CK3510SE HST Cab tractor with loader KL4030C, mid pto as I want a front snow blower (intend to purchase it this Summer), R14 tires, bolt on cutting edge, lift rod kit.
I live in Ontario Canada. the price was $39,500 Cdn + HST.
I have never paid sticker price for anything however in this case it was a take it or leave it price. I first walked away and then swallowed my pride and agreed to asking price.
Went to make a cash down pmt and lo and behold the 66" bucket had become a 60" bucket. Bait and switch?

I dislike it when a sales person tells me one thing and then it is another?

I walked away.

Am I being unrealistic?

I can wait till the fall to make a purchase if I have to.

Any thoughts / advice?

Thank you

Sounds odd that the salesman/dealer would be willing to blow a sale over the FEL bucket size. They surely have a 66" bucket somewhere on the premises. Just swap it out, sheesh.

Get the right bucket size. You are in the right.

That price makes me want to vomit a little, but times are changed, and I'm not sure what the eagles-to-syrup dollar ratio is like currently.

Note that the loader is not a KL4010 it is a KL4030C (Canadian) and the bucket size as quoted was 66".

Well this is the Kubota subforum for starters....

But aside from that, sounds like you need everything in writing before you give them any money. Any other suitable brands/dealers nearby?

As of today it would be USD$31,285.

This dealer was the closet to me also the best price for what it's worth.
There are others but some have no stock.

Indeed, it technically is. But having a bucket narrower than the tires.... just silly.
Oh, I agree.. 66" bucket is they way to go.

You definitely need the wider bucket. The severe shortage of tractors puts the dealer in a place where he thinks he is control. My guess is he doesn't have access to the wider bucket. I don't blame you for walking away for no other reason than the dealer's lack of integrity. You might consider buying it for less without the bucket, and tracking one down separately. It is most likely a standard quick release bucket.

^ good advice. Since they tried to hoodwink you, maybe counter with an offer for $1000 less with no bucket. It is standard SSQA hookup.

ok, we will keep an eye out for your "wish I'd bought a kubota" thread in a couple of months.

Why, I've never had any regrets or wished I had bought a different tractor or brand in 2+ decades I've owned my DK 35.

The Kioti CK3510SE HST seems to be a real popular tractor. Thanks for posting the price you were quoted. BTW, on the posted price you have there the price $39,500 Cdn + HST. What does that mean? Is the HST more money? Or is that with HST?
There have been shortages. Did that dealer actually have a tractor in stock that you could drive away... or would you have to wait for it? And what is a lift rod kit?

Did you also look at other brands? Since this is the Kubota section, I wonder what a similarly equipped Kubota would quote for? Anyone know? That would be an interesting comparison.

My bad. I did not realize until you pointed it out that I had posted incorrectly to Kubota instead of Kioti.
I can only say that at the time i was upset about it.
Again my apologies everyone.
The HST is a tax similar to a state tax it is 13% in Ontario.

Yes I did look at other tractors. I originally was thinking Kubota however went with Kioti because of hydraulic capacity and more features were standard on the Ck3510SE.

So if our old 2 cylinder manual shift JD was to move to Ontario she would magically become a new (1958) JD with HST.... Neat!
